In this episode, my special guest is Benjamin Selby, Priest of Jesus and of the Goddess; Druid; Shamanic Practitioner, Biker and Sacred Celebrant.
Together we explore the seasonal themes of Hope and Light, rebirth and resurrection, energies held by the Pagan festival of Ostara at the Spring Equinox and by the Christian Festival of Easter. Ben offers a bridge between these two faith paths having been ordained as an Anglican vicar and now both a Priest of Jesus and of the Goddess, he weaves together these two often opposing belief systems. We hear his incredible story, a Hero’s Journey - from refusing the call, meeting his mentor, through the tests to the supreme ordeal, the road back and now the symbolic return with the sacred elixir. Bens unique insight and experience, shared by him with humour and real enthusiasm for the up and downs, the joy and the sadness he experienced, offers all of us the opportunity to reflect how we can hold opposites on our own path to the Divine. Through this incredible story, the constant inspiration, connection and solace of Nature provides wisdom, nourishment, peace and hope for the emerging future.
