In this episode, my special guest is Jade Dalton. Jade is a psychic, healer, accredited Equality and Diversity tutor, LGBGTQi advocate, Sacred Celebrant offering life changing ceremonies and Priestess of Persephone.
We’re diving deep in this episode, balancing the outward energy of the zenith of the sun with the inner emotional work in the dark and watery depths of our psyche.
Jade is a professional psychic, an oracle for the messages from the Divine. She works with the Goddess Persephone to become a conduit for what the Divine wants to express for clients who come to her. Holding liminal space for those at a cross-roads seeking transformation, helping them to access their own internal wisdom which is also, ultimately Divine.
Jade’s journey to becoming a Priestess was shown to her through oracle work and when she connected to Persephone, her psychic abilities opened up and after a trip to Greece to connect with her more fully, she dedicated fully as her Priestess. Whilst she trained in the Priestess arts, her dedication was through her own deep personal connection rather than through an earthly teacher. Something we can all do to follow the invitation of a deity or presence is to open more fully to that and ask for that connection!
Summer Solstice in June in the UK coincides with Pride celebrations, which honour the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan and promote self-affirmation, dignity, equality and visibility of queer rights. Jade shares and reminds us that everyone wants to be loved and shine their light and, like the sun at this time of year, we can celebrate our identity and the diversity in our communities without shading others. Honouring, holding and respect is what we are all seeking and we can achieve this when we approach each person with a beginners mind.
Jade also shares her personal lived experience of ADHD, particularly the challenges she faced in the traditional workplace and how she thrives now creating her own work environment playing to her strengths. We discuss the sense of acceptance that neurodiverse people feel in minority spiritual groups and how neurodiversity often aligns with magical and other-worldly experiences because we experience the world so differently to others.
