August means two things: 1) It’s hot outside, and 2) football season literally kicks off this month! From training camp, to preseason football, to week 0 of college football, we cover it all! 
- WRs getting paid even if they play like a RB. (Let’s hope they hold up better than one.) 
- Watson is getting 6 games. Is that too little? 
- In college football, it’s time to talk about the PAC-10...Well, PAC-12 (for now at least), and its commissioner coming out firing at the BIG12! 
- USC is apparently championship-or-bust. But are all things really sunny in SoCal? 
- Recruiting season is in full swing for 2023, and Brent Venables is changing things up in Oklahoma. Will going against the grain work out? Have we seen it anywhere else? 

In the baseball world, it’s trade deadline week! Lots of deal are already underway, including All Star Josh Hader, Montas, Castillo, and more! But by the end of the deadline, will Juan Soto be out? Will JD stay in Boston? Contreras in Chicago? One thing is for sure--Ohtani will still be an Angel, sadly. And on top of that, one MVP candidate is getting paid, but did he sell himself short?
