We asked our teenagers what they would like to hear on a Sunday morning and they were unanimous that they wanted to hear more stories of adults in the church who have become Christians and see faith working in their lives.
In response, we hosted four interviews as part of the youth service. Each person effectively answering 'who are you?' and 'how does your faith work?'
We get to hear from Jared - raised in Zambia and Levin and now a husband, parent & senior manager at Air New Zealand.
We hear from Ethan - raised in Auckland by Malaysian parents, formerly a boarding-school head prefect, married to Hannah and now recently become a dad while working as a Paediatric Specialist in the hospital.
We hear from Robyn - raised at Birkenhead Community Church, alumnus of local schools & a retired child-minder with many relatives at BCC.
We hear from Eva - born in Germany, raised in South Africa and now a mum to four kids and a local veterinary surgeon.
For each of them BCC has been integral in growing faith - but it is Jesus to whom they cling in the face of the storms of life.
