Regulation refers to the ability to recognize and manage one’s emotions. Regulation skills build positive self-control, positive self-discipline, and impulse control.  Updates to this competency include an emphasis on student agency and voice. Agency is about the student being the “agent” (or “person with an active role” in learning) rather than the teacher, which honors the identities, experiences, and preferences of all students.

The School Care Team partnered with students at Garrett High School in northeast Indiana to produce this podcast series. We offer our deepest gratitude and appreciation to GHS students Landon Davis, Marissa Presswood, Anthony Semons, and Dylan Smith, who wrote and played the theme music, designed a logo, recorded, and edited the audio. Please excuse the few minor glitches. Thank you for your understanding as we support these emerging young professionals.
