Pentecost is often celebrated in congregations as the "Birth of the Church". The Prophet Joel promised that God's Spirit would be poured out in the last days. Jesus instructed his disciples to stay in Jerusalem until they received God's Spirit. Could they have really known what to expect? How did the pouring out of the Holy Spirit change the disciples? What does the Holy Spirit mean for us today?
