Who are The Who?

The Who are one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century. Founded in 1964, the group has made numerous important contributions to the development of rock music and has sold more than 100 million records. They have released some of the most iconic songs in rock and roll - “My Generation,” “Baba O’Riley,” “Behind Blue Eyes” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” among others - and are innovators in terms of playing style, technology and format. The Who have also been called one of the greatest live rock acts and they influenced everyone from The Beatles and Queen to the Ramones, the Clash, Green Day, Guns N’ Roses and Oasis. Live at Leeds is the first live album from English rock band The Who. The only live album released with the original group line-up, Live at Leeds is often considered one of the greatest live rock recordings of all time. The original release includes just six songs from the original concert. A commercial and critical success, Live at Leeds reached #4 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart, and is 2x platinum in the United States. Released in 1970, this album is on the 2020 Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums list at #327.
