Vulnerability is seen as weakness. We must show with our lawns, houses, cars, and suburban life that we have it together. Hint: no one does. Your neighbors are just as much a mess as you! Instead of watching out for our own good, watch out for others. Human and community flourishing happens only in the context of a vulnerable community.
Scripture: Philippians 2:1-11
Series Overview:More than half of all Americans live in the suburbs. Suburban life reflects our good, God-given desire for a place to call home, a community to be involved with, and space to live out our dreams. And suburbs also reflect our own brokenness. This series offers practical guidance, drawn from the Bible, to help us live faithfully here.
