Here at Leader Rising, there's nothing special about new years. January 1 is just like any other day. We're always dreaming big and living bigger, so we don't need a calendar to tell us when it's okay to do it.
And yet, something feels a bit different about the end of one year and the beginning of the next.
And so, as the year turned over, I was reflective and made an important decision. I've decided that I will have one resolution for 2022:
That's not the life you'd have if you won the lottery. π²π²π€
That's the life you lead where you wouldn't really change it much even if you won the lottery.
That's a subtle but important difference.
That life is not predicated on winning the lottery, it's resilient AGAINST winning the lottery. π³ That life is built on things that feed your soul. For most of us, that's relationships (family, good friends), work (especially "soul-work"), fun, and making a difference (this can (but doesn't need to) intersect with work).
I've thought about this a lot over the years.
My directional set of emails are based on the questions that most helped me build the dream of what I want that life to look like.
Creating that dream is critical. ππ
AND the next step is just as important - creating that dream into your reality.
January and February have been crazy, but Iβve grown internally in a way that was necessary. Life circumstances forced me to work on my mood and outlook. That's foundational work for the life I build on top of it.
So, building my lottery life is my resolution for the year.
... AND I'm going to try to do it in the next three months. Wish me luck. π
