Decred is a community-directed digital currency designed to be a superior store of value for generations to come. Its hybrid PoW+PoS consensus mechanism, transparent proposal and voting system, and continually funded treasury, make it secure, adaptable, and self-sustaining. Decred stakeholders collectively determine the policy, development plan, budget, changes to the consensus rules, and they approve the miners’ work. Each block reward compensates miners, stakeholders, and the Treasury.
Eduardo will be sitting down with Jonathan Chappelow, Lead Software Developer on Decred block explorer and DCRDEX, to discuss DCRDEX version 0.3, which will be released along with Decred v1.7 release. We will discuss the upcoming DCRDEX features and answer community questions in relation to DCRDEX 0.3 and looking ahead to the DCRDEX 0.4 (1.0?) release.

Jake has been using, funding and directing the creation of open-source software for over a decade. Prior to Decred, he funded and oversaw the creation of btcsuite, an alternative full-node Bitcoin implementation written in go, whose source code has been used in several other notable projects, e.g. Lightning Network (lnd), Ethereum, and Factom. He is also a co-creator of zkc, a high-security asynchronous chat system.
