Kimberly, Sonia, and Jonathan answer a question from Alex (female) in Seattle:
“I had a successful career in the military. Now I’m moving into private industry. What kinds of leadership challenges should I prepare myself for?”
Kimberly advises Alex to recognize she is bringing strengths needed in the workplace today. For example, time management skills and confidence in her ability to deliver.
Sonia reminds Alex that she is experienced in adapting to different circumstances, use those skills to understand the new culture.
Jonathan shares she will need to get comfortable with subordinates asking “why” and prepare for vagueness around who’s in charge, which may not be clear in certain structures.
There are so many more ideas shared by the coaches you don’t want to miss.
