In 1 Peter 5, Peter tells his readers that they must humble themselves and that they can cast all their cares/anxieties on God because He cares for them. The same applies to us as Christians; we must set aside our pride and humble ourselves. We cannot attempt to do things only God can do. Admitting we can't do it is the first step in humility. Do we trust God enough for Him to tear up our mess and let Him fix it? Are we willing to submit to all of His plans, ways, and authority? Have we truly set aside our pride and humbled ourselves?
