2 Timothy 2:2
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
Timothy is one of the great books. And... I was thinking this morning that Scriptures have their importance from three different basic points. Number one, one Scripture has its great importance because of the revelation of the great truth in that Scripture.
Number two, the words that are used, giving that revelation in that Scripture. And thirdly, the great place where it is used. And when you work the Word, you have to go into those categories.
My dear children, for whom I am laboring in childbirth until Christ is fashioned in your minds,
Colossians 2:3 KJV
3 In whom (In this - The Mystery) are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
This life changing teaching on “the Hope”, hope is clarified. What happens upon death, the 1st & 2nd coming of Christ and body-soul-spirit is rediscovered.
“Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” These are words of comfort. You see, if some people were already up there and we were still slave-laboring down here, it wouldn’t be any fun. But the way God has worked this out is that everybody gets there at the same time with all the blessings that He has made available –and what a tremendous truth, people!
Now, that is the first phase of Christ’s second coming. Do you understand it? He comes for his people, the saints. Those who have died since the day of Pentecost as believers. Their bodies are corrupted. The dead in Christ are going to be what? Raised what? [First.] Then those which are alive and remain at that moment have to be what? Changed. And they’re mortal. That’s why those mortals have to put on immortality. And those who have been corrupted have to put on what: Incorruption. It’s so simple, yet it answers every question that the human could ask.
First phase is Christ's coming for his saints or for the Church of the Body, called the gathering together. The second phase of the return is Christ’s coming with his saints. Just a change of prepositions. First, his coming for his saints. Second phase is coming with them. In the first phase, he does not come upon the earth, right? Meet him in the air. Second phase, he comes upon the earth; but he comes with his saints. That coming with the lord of the second phase – the Greek word is apokalupsis; English word – they call it “apocalypse,” translated over in to the word “revelation.” It is called “the Day of the Lord” in the Book of Revelation, when he comes with his saints upon the earth.

The are six things that are prayed for specifically in the Book of Ephesians:
- Power in the inner man.
- Indwelling of Christ.
- Rooted in Love.(agape)
- Spiritual understanding.
- That you may know the Love (agape) of Christ.
- To be filled with all the Fullness of God.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
All information to the natural mind comes by way of the five senses. To renew it in an upward fashion, we must change what we are feeding it!

The righteous person will study his neighbor. He will explore his neighbor to see what would bless and help that neighbor. Whereas the wicked will lead his neighbor astray. He leads him astray. This idea is not foreign to the Book of Proverbs nor to other scriptures in the Word. Matter of fact you read the same idea in many other places, that the righteous explores his neighbor or tries to find out what would help and bless that individual, instead of just spilling his mouth; instead of having the run of the mouth where he just tears him up. He explores him in order to help and to bless him. He has tremendous insight into an individual. He’s empathetic. Whereas the wicked simply misleads or tears down that neighbor. This righteous man has insight in order to bless his neighbor. He’s empathetic with him.
In Proverbs 15, you have a similar idea in verse 28. Where it says, “The heart of the righteous studieth to answer:…”; 15:28.
Proverbs 15:28a: The heart of the righteous studieth [or meditates] to answer:
In other words, he doesn’t just flip an answer off the top of his head, but he studies his neighbor, or he studies a situation before he answers.
That's the power of God's work. And in that it's not just a form of godliness, but its power. It's not just a word, its power and operation. It's a great challenge to us to walk in this day and time, when you look at most people in this world. And they walk totally by the five senses, sciences, we all need wonderful. But it's totally since knowledge oriented. They don't see the spiritual side of it. And to understand everything in its fullness, you have to see the spiritual side. It's great to know the wonderful scientific things that are done. But it's also great to know the spiritual side of it too. And what's really happening in our world, and to be on top of it, because we're sons of God, filled with power, walking by the Spirit. And we can manifest that power daily, not just on Sunday, not just on Thursday night prayer meeting time, but daily in your businesses, your profession, your schools, your jobs, your homes, wherever you are. God in Christ is still in you. And you've got that power available to walk
Look at 2 Corinthians chapter 5. 2 Corinthians chapter 5 please. Look at verse 14. For the love of what? Christ constraineth us.
The love of Christ constraineth us. He constraineth us. The love of Christ.
You see whenever the love of God is enthroned in your heart when you have allowed yourself to be soaked and saturated in the love of God then it's the love of God that constrains us because we thus judge that if one died for all therefore all are dead then we're all dead. Literally the text reads that one died for all therefore all died in Him in Christ Jesus. And he died verse 15 he died Jesus Christ for what? All that they which live they which live should henceforth no longer live unto themselves.
We're still living right? We shouldn't live unto ourselves but unto what? Him, but unto Him which died for them and he did what? Right. Rose again in Ephesians chapter 4 Ephesians 4 listen to this Ephesians 4 15 but speaking the what? Truth in love speaking the truth in what? Love may grow up in Him in all things grow up in Him in all things which is the head even whom? Christ to grow up in Him we just have to get melted people into God's cast of love because Christ did not please Himself He pleased His Father.
The righteous is always out giving, his root is to give.
Proverbs 12:14: A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth:…
First you have a root, the root gives. Then you have what? Fruit.
Proverbs 12:14: …the fruit of his mouth, and the recompence [or reward] of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
After you have fruit, what do you get? Rewards. So you have a root, then you have fruit, then you have reward. If you root: if you don’t have any root or your root is shallow, it’s wicked, you’re only out to take, to see what you can get, to steal, to kill, to destroy, then your fruit is going to be corrupt and there’s no rewards. But if you’re the righteous, then your root…the root of the righteous gives. That’s the attitude of the righteous, he’s established. Because giving is a principle, giving equals receiving. As you give you receive. So if your root, that’s your root, you’re giving, then what’s your fruit? It’s going to be good fruit. And you’re going to be satisfied with that fruit. And as a result there’s going to be what? reward. Isn’t that beautiful? The righteous versus the wicked. And who wins again? The righteous. Right!
Jesus said, don't kid me, I know better. The only way I know of keeping an abundance of that
which you're giving out being filled and flowing within is by speaking in tongues. In your private life. Then it says, out of his belly shall flow rivers, torrents, gushed torrents of living waters. You keep enough of this stuff in you and keep it hot inside.
The heat will manifest itself outside. I think this is the outreach from one individual
to another or two groups of people. And it's just the power of God working in your heart
and life. And it still is God's word when that's believed. That's what alters circumstances.
Circumstances do not alter God's word. The word alters circumstances. Well, think about it.
The fantastic potential latent within a believer. The fantastic ability resident within you to bless and to be a blessing and to reach out. Because you're always giving out something. So you might as well renew your mind and let
this Christ within you just shine forth and reach out.
Now, there are three categories of people in the Book of Proverbs that you’ll see come up again and again. And I’m talking about three categories who have blown it, who are not on the Word. One of them is fools, the second one are the wicked and the third category are the lazy. You have the fools, the wicked and the lazy. In contrast to that you also have the wise, the righteous and the diligent. The wise, the righteous and the diligent. Now God doesn’t want you to be a fool or to be wicked or to be lazy. He wants you to be a wise person, a righteous person and a diligent person.
Therefore, it is the love of Christ that constraineth you. You Way Corps no longer
live for yourself but you live for Him. As you walk in fellowship with Jesus Christ,
you will be in fellowship with God, and you will evidence and manifest that you
are a new creation with a new nature IN Christ and that ALL old things are passed
away; behold, ALL things are become NEW. God, who reconciled you, brought
you back to Himself by Jesus Christ, has given to you the ministry of
reconciliation, including the Word of reconciliation, so that you could be a
successful ambassador for Christ, reconciling others to God. You represent and are
the righteousness of God when you are IN Christ Jesus. Yes, you are a worker
together with God. Corps, what a joy and privilege, yet what an awesome
responsibility in the NOW of this our times, the day of salvation! So you have to
walk and work, that the ministry be not blamed and that you stand approved as a
minister of God. Live and speak the Word...

She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

Take your Bibles and turn to the book of Colossians, chapter 1. Tonight I’d like to open the Word with you. And, if I were to give this a topic or a title of what I have in my heart to share with you tonight, I would call it “The Red Thread.” You find him everywhere in the Word.
It has been sin-consciousness plus condemnation that has robbed Christians in the past of their believing. It has robbed Christians in the past of their sense of worthiness before God. It has robbed Christians in the past of the joy, of their sonship. We, as believers, just had not been taught, and consequently and subsequently we did not know the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We did not know we were more than conquerors through him who loved us and who gave himself for us. We did not know that we could do all things through Christ who strengthens us. We did not know that we were complete in Christ. We did not know that we were seated in the heavenlies now. People, we just did not know. For no one taught us...
Out of love for the truth and the desire to bring it to light, the following propositions will be discussed at Wittenberg, under the presidency of the Reverend Father Martin Luther, Master of Arts and of Sacred Theology, and Lecturer in Ordinary on the same at that place. Wherefore he requests that those who are unable to be present and debate orally with us, may do so by letter.

Our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, when He said Poenitentiam agite (Repent ye), willed that the whole life of believers should be repentance.
-
This word cannot be understood to mean sacramental penance, i.e., confession and satisfaction, which is administered by the priests.
-
Yet it means not inward repentance only; nay, there is no inward repentance which does not outwardly work divers mortifications of the flesh.
-
The penalty [of sin], therefore, continues so long as hatred of self continues; for this is the true inward repentance, and continues until our entrance into the kingdom of heaven.

The pope does not intend to remit, and cannot remit any penalties other than those which he has imposed either by his own authority or by that of the Canons.
-
The pope cannot remit any guilt, except by declaring that it has been remitted by God and by assenting to God's remission; though, to be sure, he may grant remission in cases reserved to his judgment. If his right to grant remission in such cases were despised, the guilt would remain entirely unforgiven.

God remits guilt to no one whom He does not, at the same time, humble in all things and bring into subjection to His vicar, the priest.

The penitential canons are imposed only on the living, and, according to them, nothing should be imposed on the dying.

Therefore the Holy Spirit in the pope is kind to us, because in his decrees he always makes exception of the article of death and of necessity.

Ignorant and wicked are the doings of those priests who, in the case of the dying, reserve canonical penances for purgatory.

This changing of the canonical penalty to the penalty of purgatory is quite evidently one of the tares that were sown while the bishops slept.
-
In former times the canonical penalties were imposed not after, but before absolution, as tests of true contrition.

The dying are freed by death from all penalties; they are already dead to canonical rules, and have a right to be released from them.
-
The imperfect health [of soul], that is to say, the imperfect love, of the dying brings with it, of necessity, great fear; and the smaller the love, the greater is the fear.

This fear and horror is sufficient of itself alone (to say nothing of other things) to constitute the penalty of purgatory, since it is very near to the horror of despair.

Hell, purgatory, and heaven seem to differ as do despair, almost-despair, and the assurance of safety.

With souls in purgatory it seems necessary that horror should grow less and love increase.

It seems unproved, either by reason or Scripture, that they are outside the state of merit, that is to say, of increasing love.

Again, it seems unproved that they, or at least that all of them, are certain or assured of their own blessedness, though we may be quite certain of it.

Therefore by "full remission of all penalties" the pope means not actually "of all," but only of those imposed by himself.

Therefore those preachers of indulgences are in error, who say that by the pope's indulgences a man is freed from every penalty, and saved;
-
Whereas he remits to souls in purgatory no penalty which, according to the canons, they would have had to pay in this life.

If it is at all possible to grant to any one the remission of all penalties whatsoever, it is certain that this remission can be granted only to the most perfect, that is, to the very fewest.

It must needs be, therefore, that the greater part of the people are deceived by that indiscriminate and highsounding promise of release from penalty.

The power which the pope has, in a general way, over purgatory, is just like the power which any bishop or curate has, in a special way, within his own diocese or parish.
-
The pope does well when he grants remission to souls [in purgatory], not by the power of the keys (which he does not possess), but by way of intercession.

They preach man who say that so soon as the penny jingles into the money-box, the soul flies out [of purgatory].
-
It is certain that when the penny jingles into the money-box, gain and avarice can be increased, but the result of the intercession of the Church is in the power of God alone.

Who knows whether all the souls in purgatory wish to be bought out of it, as in the legend of Sts. Severinus and Paschal.

No one is sure that his own contrition is sincere; much less that he has attained full remission.

Rare as is the man that is truly penitent, so rare is also the man who truly buys indulgences, i.e., such men are most rare.

They will be condemned eternally, together with their teachers, who believe themselves sure of their salvation because they have letters of pardon.

Men must be on their guard against those who say that the pope's pardons are that inestimable gift of God by which man is reconciled to Him;
-
For these "graces of pardon" concern only the penalties of sacramental satisfaction, and these are appointed by man.
-
They preach no Christian doctrine who teach that contrition is not necessary in those who intend to buy souls out of purgatory or to buy confessionalia.
-
Every truly repentant Christian has a right to full remission of penalty and guilt, even without letters of pardon.
-
Every true Christian, whether living or dead, has part in all the blessings of Christ and the Church; and this is granted him by God, even without letters of pardon.
-
Nevertheless, the remission and participation [in the blessings of the Church] which are granted by the pope are in no way to be despised, for they are, as I have said, the declaration of divine remission.
-
It is most difficult, even for the very keenest theologians, at one and the same time to commend to the people the abundance of pardons and [the need of] true contrition.
-
True contrition seeks and loves penalties, but liberal pardons only relax penalties and cause them to be hated, or at least, furnish an occasion [for hating them].

Apostolic pardons are to be preached with caution, lest the people may falsely think them preferable to other good works of love.
-
Christians are to be taught that the pope does not intend the buying of pardons to be compared in any way to works of mercy.

Christians are to be taught that he who gives to the poor or lends to the needy does a better work than buying pardons;
-
Because love grows by works of love, and man becomes better; but by pardons man does not grow better, only more free from penalty.

Christians are to be taught that he who sees a man in need, and passes him by, and gives [his money] for pardons, purchases not the indulgences of the pope, but the indignation of God.
-
Christians are to be taught that unless they have more than they need, they are bound to keep back what is necessary for their own families, and by no means to squander it on pardons.
-
Christians are to be taught that the buying of pardons is a matter of free will, and not of commandment.
-
Christians are to be taught that the pope, in granting pardons, needs, and therefore desires, their devout prayer for him more than the money they bring.
-
Christians are to be taught that the pope's pardons are useful, if they do not put their trust in them; but altogether harmful, if through them they lose their fear of God.
-
Christians are to be taught that if the pope knew the exactions of the pardon-preachers, he would rather that St. Peter's church should go to ashes, than that it should be built up with the skin, flesh and bones of his sheep.

Christians are to be taught that it would be the pope's wish, as it is his duty, to give of his own money to very many of those from whom certain hawkers of pardons cajole money, even though the church of St. Peter might have to be sold.

The assurance of salvation by letters of pardon is vain, even though the commissary, nay, even though the pope himself, were to stake his soul upon it.
-
They are enemies of Christ and of the pope, who bid the Word of God be altogether silent in some Churches, in order that pardons may be preached in others.
-
Injury is done the Word of God when, in the same sermon, an equal or a longer time is spent on pardons than on this Word.
-
It must be the intention of the pope that if pardons, which are a very small thing, are celebrated with one bell, with single processions and ceremonies, then the Gospel, which is the very greatest thing, should be preached with a hundred bells, a hundred processions, a hundred ceremonies.

The "treasures of the Church," out of which the pope. grants indulgences, are not sufficiently named or known among the people of Christ.
-
That they are not temporal treasures is certainly evident, for many of the vendors do not pour out such treasures so easily, but only gather them.
-
Nor are they the merits of Christ and the Saints, for even without the pope, these always work grace for the inner man, and the cross, death, and hell for the outward man.

St. Lawrence said that the treasures of the Church were the Church's poor, but he spoke according to the usage of the word in his own time.
-
Without rashness we say that the keys of the Church, given by Christ's merit, are that treasure;
-
For it is clear that for the remission of penalties and of reserved cases, the power of the pope is of itself sufficient.
-
The true treasure of the Church is the Most Holy Gospel of the glory and the grace of God.
-
But this treasure is naturally most odious, for it makes the first to be last.
-
On the other hand, the treasure of indulgences is naturally most acceptable, for it makes the last to be first.
-
Therefore the treasures of the Gospel are nets with which they formerly were wont to fish for men of riches.
-
The treasures of the indulgences are nets with which they now fish for the riches of men.
-
The indulgences which the preachers cry as the "greatest graces" are known to be truly such, in so far as they promote gain.
-
Yet they are in truth the very smallest graces compared with the grace of God and the piety of the Cross.
-
Bishops and curates are bound to admit the commissaries of apostolic pardons, with all reverence.
-
But still more are they bound to strain all their eyes and attend with all their ears, lest these men preach their own dreams instead of the commission of the pope.
71 . He who speaks against the truth of apostolic pardons, let him be anathema and accursed!

But he who guards against the lust and license of the pardon-preachers, let him be blessed!

The pope justly thunders against those who, by any art, contrive the injury of the traffic in pardons.
-
But much more does he intend to thunder against those who use the pretext of pardons to contrive the injury of holy love and truth.
-
To think the papal pardons so great that they could absolve a man even if he had committed an impossible sin and violated the Mother of God -- this is madness.
-
We say, on the contrary, that the papal pardons are not able to remove the very least of venial sins, so far as its guilt is concerned.
-
It is said that even St. Peter, if he were now Pope, could not bestow greater graces; this is blasphemy against St. Peter and against the pope.
-
We say, on the contrary, that even the present pope, and any pope at all, has greater graces at his disposal; to wit, the Gospel, powers, gifts of healing, etc., as it is written in I. Corinthians xii.

To say that the cross, emblazoned with the papal arms, which is set up [by the preachers of indulgences], is of equal worth with the Cross of Christ, is blasphemy.

The bishops, curates and theologians who allow such talk to be spread among the people, will have an account to render.
-
This unbridled preaching of pardons makes it no easy matter, even for learned men, to rescue the reverence due to the pope from slander, or even from the shrewd questionings of the laity.
-
To wit: -- "Why does not the pope empty purgatory, for the sake of holy love and of the dire need of the souls that are there, if he redeems an infinite number of souls for the sake of miserable money with which to build a Church? The former reasons would be most just; the latter is most trivial."

Again: -- "Why are mortuary and anniversary masses for the dead continued, and why does he not return or permit the withdrawal of the endowments founded on their behalf, since it is wrong to pray for the redeemed?"

Again: -- "What is this new piety of God and the pope, that for money they allow a man who is impious and their enemy to buy out of purgatory the pious soul of a friend of God, and do not rather, because of that pious and beloved soul's own need, free it for pure love's sake?"

Again: -- "Why are the penitential canons long since in actual fact and through disuse abrogated and dead, now satisfied by the granting of indulgences, as though they were still alive and in force?"
-
Again: -- "Why does not the pope, whose wealth is to-day greater than the riches of the richest, build just this one church of St. Peter with his own money, rather than with the money of poor believers?"
-
Again: -- "What is it that the pope remits, and what participation does he grant to those who, by perfect contrition, have a right to full remission and participation?"
-
Again: -- "What greater blessing could come to the Church than if the pope were to do a hundred times a day what he now does once, and bestow on every believer these remissions and participations?"
-
"Since the pope, by his pardons, seeks the salvation of souls rather than money, why does he suspend the indulgences and pardons granted heretofore, since these have equal efficacy?"
-
To repress these arguments and scruples of the laity by force alone, and not to resolve them by giving reasons, is to expose the Church and the pope to the ridicule of their enemies, and to make Christians unhappy.

If, therefore, pardons were preached according to the spirit and mind of the pope, all these doubts would be readily resolved; nay, they would not exist.

Away, then, with all those prophets who say to the people of Christ, "Peace, peace," and there is no peace!

Blessed be all those prophets who say to the people of Christ, "Cross, cross," and there is no cross!

Christians are to be exhorted that they be diligent in following Christ, their Head, through penalties, deaths, and hell;

And thus be confident of entering into heaven rather through many tribulations, than through the assurance of peace.

The book of Acts is God’s record to us of the rise and the expansion of the Christian church, the

in their walk you could see the Christ. That’s Christian.

Expect great things from God and great things you will have. There is no limit what He is able to
do. Praise Him and thank Him for everything!
First of all, I should say the word Palestine essentially comes from the idea of the Philistines that inhabited this area. The Philistines were the enemies of Israel during the Judges period, part of that time. David fought against the Philistines.
Remember Goliath? He was a Philistine. And Palestine is that area that belonged to the Philistines. And so it's the whole country.
And then the country is divided up into different divisions. And of course, at different times in history, it had different divisions. And we're concerned with the New Testament times, but before you get there, you have to study the Old Testament times.
I desire to set before you the great truth regarding the royal family. Since you have been born into the royal family and your walk in the household of God as a loyal son or daughter, the principles for studying the gospels and understanding the whole of the chronology of the life of Jesus Christ will be simple and invigorating.
The standard for all truth class is the word. The truth of the word is stronger than anything upon earth. The greatest commitment ever made is God's commitment to his word.
The written word, my people, is the only reliable means of establishing and maintaining accuracy. The word is the super-highway over which our believing hauls God's mighty cargos of truth. The forgotten man of Christianity is the Christian who is born again, yet lacks knowledge and understanding of the word.
God's standard of excellence is "The Word" class. Christianity is not primarily serving God, doing this work for him, that work for him, running around here, there, and yonder. Christianity is not primarily serving God, but it is a child living with his father in the family of the royal household of God.
There are three things that must constantly be recognized by you. Number one, the absolute trustworthiness of God's word. Number two, Jesus Christ's complete and finished work.
And number three, the reality of our relationship to God as sons and daughters in the royal family. Ours must be a continual confession of God's greatness, God's ability, God's love, and God's great heart.
These are written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the what? Son of God. Right. And that believing ye might have life through his name.
Like the entire word, the Gospels contain no contradiction, error, or discrepancy. The chronology of the life of Jesus Christ is clearly discernible in the four Gospel accounts. That's the unity of the four Gospels.

The natural man, this man of body and soul is limited to the information gathered via the five senses. The five senses are the only media, the only avenues, the only channels of learning that the natural man has. Verse 4, that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk after the spirit. No condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh, that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk after the spirit. 1 Corinthians chapter 14cis the only place in the Bible where the Word of God sets in proper order and usage the three manifestations of the spirit that are used in worship, namely: speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues and prophecy. The church in Corinth had been off the ball in the operation of the manifestations. And so, God, by
Paul, has set this 14th chapter in here to straighten out the error, to straighten out the confusion. And it does just that.
You know, in chapter 12, God told us about things of the spirit, or spiritual matters, how some of them were charismata, gifts of God's grace, vertically. Others were manifestations as they ministered to God's people. Then, in chapter 13, we were informed that all of these manifestations operate effectively, as well as the ministries, if we
have the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation. Then it will bless, not only the one ministering, but the one receiving, and the one receiving as well as the one ministering. What good is it if my ministry blessed you and it didn't bless me? Then I'd be the loser. And God never set up His program for the church for anybody who
ministered to be a loser.
When it comes to the field of the holy spirit and the manifestations of the holy spirit, there are only three chapters in the Bible that give the complete details regarding the usage and the operations of the manifestations. Those three chapters, basically, only deal, significantly and dynamically, with three of the manifestations: speaking in tongues; interpretation of tongues and prophecy. But, these three chapters set like a diamond in the book of Corinthians. But, most people have always arrested chapter 13 out from among 12 and 14. But chapters 12, 13 and 14 of 1Corinthians, make one complete whole. They make a unit. And if we take out the thirteenth chapter from between the twelfth and the fourteenth, we lose the great emphasis and impact, of the dynamics of God's wonderful, matchless Word.
There are three types of love in the world. The Greek words for them, of course, are well known among our people. Agapeo, Phileo, and Eros.
For the most part, the world knows the most about the last. The middle one, they know a little about, because if you're going to be a good businessman, you at least have to practice Phileo. But only those who are born again of God's Spirit and put on the mind of Christ know the agapeo type of love.
This is a new kind of love, people, that was first introduced and brought to this world with Jesus Christ. And John 3, 16 says, For God so what? Loved. That he gave his only begotten Son.
Until God so loved that he gave his only begotten Son, this new type of agapeo love was just not available. Because this agapeo love is a love that's introduced into the inner man, which is the Christ in you, the hope of glory. Love at best before the introduction of this agapeo kind of love was Phileo.
2 Corinthians 2:14-17 KJV
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Five records in the Word of God, that's all, just five.
Just five records in the Word of God, no more, no less. Four of those
five state, without any hesitation, that, when they were born again and
received the gift, pneuma hagion, the one thing they did was they spoke
in tongues. They, themselves, spoke in tongues, but what they spoke was
as the Spirit gave it to them, to their spirit. One place says, just
one of the five, says that Simon saw something. Well, what did he see?
You know good and well what he saw. He saw the manifestation. The
manifestation of what? Speaking in tongues.

We learned from Acts, chapter 2, in the original outpouring, in
verses 1 to 4, that; on the day of Pentecost, these twelve apostles were
filled with the power from on high, clothed with this power from on
high, which is the new birth, the holy spirit, Christ in you. And when
they were filled, it says, "and they spoke in tongues." That's what it
said in Acts 2. And then, you'll remember, there were only Jews on the
day of Pentecost that received. -
A number of years later, because of the persecution that had ensued
within the city of Jerusalem, because of the increase of Christian
believers, Philip went down to Samaria. This is an enlargement. The
Samaritans were disliked by the Jews. Philip goes down to Samaria and
he preaches Christ unto them. And those who have been influenced by
spiritualism, and lived under devil spirits, and been under the control
of a man operated by devil spirits, they get born again. And Simon, the
sorcerer himself, gets born again of God's Spirit.
And when these people in Samaria were born again, it says, "and
Simon saw." Simon saw--you cannot see spirit, what did Simon see?
- We'll go to the next record, in Acts, chapter 9, the third great
record in God's wonderful, matchless word. In this chapter, it's the
apostle Paul. Paul who, when he was on the road to Damascus, got born
again. And Ananias, just a simple disciple -- just a simple disciple,
not a head of the church from Jerusalem, no Peter, no John, no bishop,
no top echelon brass, nope -- just a simple disciple. Laid his hands on
the apostle, Paul, he got healed, physically, and, according to I
Corinthians chapter 14, verse 18, the apostle Paul says, "I speak in
tongues more than ye all."

If we're in that position, we're far above anything that the adversary can pull off. It's a real terrific thing because of the power that we've got if we'll use it, if we'll do something with it. My main thinking on this in presenting it to people and even studying it out for myself was to see that it's realistic, it's possible, it happens.
And then to see how it happens so that it's not such a frightful thing in a person's mind because so many times the adversary uses ignorance or wrong teaching to put fear in people. Now we understand, now we know some of these principles that possibly explain things. And now we can see the greater power of God in our lives, God in Christ in us, the hope of glory.
And because of that, we can go out with boldness and face the adversary in any situation, understanding some of his operation and being confident in the power of God.
And as Elijah went by plowing, he just took off his mantle and threw it over the top of him. Because the mantle is significant of the transfer of power. And he left the oxen, Elisha left the oxen, and followed after, ran after Elijah, and said, let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I'll follow thee.
In other words, say goodbye to daddy and mommy. And he said unto him, go back again, for what have I done to thee? And he returned back from him, took a yoke of oxen, slew them, boiled their flesh with the instruments and the oxen, and gave them to the people, and they did eat. Then he arose and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.
And wherever Elijah went, Elisha went with him, carried his suitcase, his briefcase, did his secretarial work, wrote his letters, did his telephones, sent his cablegrams. But he was always with the man of God, being taught, learning, being instructed. And Ben-Hadad, the king of Syria, gathered all his hosts together.
And the thing that makes it so interesting is when Jesus Christ was here, the adversary tempted him. And every time the adversary tempted him, Jesus reciprocated by quoting him the word. He offered him all the kingdoms of the world if he would but bow down and worship him.
All the kingdoms, everything. And the reason he did this is because Jesus Christ replaced this second in command. And since Lucifer is that adversary who is the devil and Satan who got kicked out, who lost all that stuff.
And this one, Jesus Christ now is second in command. Who do you think he would be after? Jesus Christ. That's why it says he crucified him.
But had he known, had he known, had he known he never would have crucified the Lord of glory. Now I'll tell you why. Because every one of you born again of God's spirit are his brother.
The works that I do, ye shall what? Everyone is his brother. Had he known it, he wouldn't have crucified him. Boy, if this ever hits you, you'll walk 10 feet tall.
It's the word of God that instructs and teaches and tells us. In Ephesians chapter 6. Finally, my brethren, there's a better translation of that, and I don't know what it is. Who knows? I taught it in the book class on Ephesians last year or so.
But forget it. When it's all wrapped up, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his what? Might. Power of his might, meaning his mighty power.
You be strong in the Lord. In chapter 3, verse 20, it said, Now unto him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, that's being strong in the Lord. According to power that worketh in us, be strong in the Lord.
And in this part of God's word, where we're dealing with the adversary, you better be strong in the Lord. Because unless you really drive this into your mind and take a real commitment to God's word, the whole devil spirit world will wreck and ruin you. Be strong in the Lord and strong in his mighty power.

Clothed with is power, power, God's gift, power. It's called dynamis, from on high, from God. You see, these three words now regarding power become very, very significant, and they're very foundational in not only the foundational class, but all your life in the understanding of God's word and the operation of the manifestations.
Dynamis is that inherent potential power. The energematis, the kinetic power. We're going to see how God activates, how God energizes all of his gifts, as well as all of the manifestations.
The exousia is your responsibility. You exercise it in the same sense as you would exercise your arm. Your arm is given to you at birth.
It's yours. Now, the energy is that life within you, that soul life within you. That's your energy in your body.

Revelation, class, is a walk. It's a walk. It's walking by the revealed
Word of God, which you already have, or walking by the spirit, and to
walk by the spirit is to walk by those revelation manifestations. The
revelation, getting the information, and then carrying it out on a horizontalmlevel.
Sense knowledge always wants to see. Men who love God and His Word just want to hear the Word and believe it. Believing the Word settles it. It’s just the Word, the Word, the Word, and nothing but the Word that settles it. That’s why Jesus Christ said to Thomas, “Blessed are they that have not seen, and will [do what?] (believe).” That’s right.

An expository teaching from John 14 and Acts 2 concerning the promise to the twelve apostles and their receiving it.
So always look at the long-term profit. You see, this word of knowledge, word of wisdom and discerning of spirits, that revelation goes beyond the word. It is in addition to, it goes beyond the word. Never at cross purposes with the word, for if it's from the true God, the word is from the true God, from the true God, it would have to mesh, right? Have to fit like a hand in a glove because God couldn't say one thing in his word and then say something else toyou or me which would contradict the word, right?
So our basic checking point is always the written revealed word. Revelation class, revelation begins where the word of God terminates. And what you can know by your sense knowledge, God expects you to know from the word, not to receive revelation on it.
These revelation manifestations are for single specific situations. General patterns are given in the word, like is it God's will to heal? That's right, so we know that. But how am I going to know what healing you particularly need? That's where the revelation comes in.
Breakdown of the word ‘restitution’ in Acts 3:21 and explanation
that these ‘times of refreshing’ (v.19) and ‘times of restitution’ do not refer to the Church of God but to the return of Christ for Israel, his Bride.
In Ephesians chapter 6, very familiar section, but always bears reiteration. Put on the whole armor of God, verse 11, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers or the holders of this darkness, against spiritual wickedness or wicked spirits from on high.
On account of this, take unto you the whole armor of what? God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, do what? Stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, having on the breastplate of righteousness and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, above all taking the shield of believing, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying always with all prayer and supplication by way of the Spirit, and watching unto this with all perseverance and supplication concerning all things.
Stand fast therefore. Boy, if you're going to be the kind of person that flips in and out all the time, you're not going to receive much revelation, I guarantee you. For the key to walking by the Spirit, one of the great keys is, get sold out, get committed, having done all, do what? Stand.
You'll either see it, hear it, smell it, taste it, or touch it in that inner man. And that's how you know, when you see it in the inner man with the inner eyes, it will translate to your head knowledge. That's how you know, because all knowledge comes from the head, right? That's how you know.

As Christian parents, we must get clear on what we are aiming for with our children. How can we ever hit the mark if we don't know what we're endeavoring to accomplish? And what is it we want to accomplish? A good education? A good personality? A good job? A good spouse? A good family? All of this may be a part of a parent's aim. However, what should life's highest aim be? To get an understanding of this, we're going to look in the Old Testament at the book of Deuteronomy.
And now, Israel, what does the Lord thy God require of thee? But to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all His ways, and that word fear means to respect the Lord thy God, to walk in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good. And the full matruity of a believer is a continued process of development to the inclusiveness to the end that our speech and our action is nothing but the word.
And if it's truth, it'll live. If it's an error, the quicker it dies, the better. We do not need to defend.
That's why the greatest thing we can do is build a dynamic offense. And that's what we're beginning to do all through the ministry, from the time you first took the foundational class, all the way through, is to just build a dynamic reality of God's word in your life to the end that you can just hold it forth. You don't have to fight about it. You don't have to fight about error. You never need to fight about truth. That's for sure.

Judges: I'll put them for you in a nutshell, in my own words. You see, there was a war between Ammonites and Israelites at one time. The leader under the Israelites was a man called Jephthah. He went to the battle against the Ammonites, he made a vow to God. Lord, if you give me victory over the Ammonites, when I come back from the victorious, anything that comes to meet me, I'll give that. Whatsoever comes to meet me, I'll give that unto you as a burnt sacrifice.
That I'll is s a vow. All right, God granted the victory to this man. When he was coming back home, his only daughter, this man had only daughter, no son, no other daughter, she came with rejoicing to meet her victorious dad.
And she brought instruments of music to meet him on the road. And when he saw her, he rent his clothes, he said. By the way, you put down there, he rent his mantle, not clothes. Wherever you read, rent the clothes, you put down mantle, mantle. Nobody rents clothes.
They rent a mantle, you see. He rent his mantle. Why, why? Renting a mantle is an outward sign of inward anger or sorrow. In this case, not anger, but sorrow.
Because he made a vow to God that anybody who comes to meet him, that he will give as a burnt sacrifice. He had got only one daughter. And she came to meet him.
And when he saw her, he was troubled, he was sorry that since she came, he must give her to God as a burnt sacrifice. So, he rent his clothes, he rent his mantle to demonstrate the sorrow of his heart. And the girl knew what he meant.
You see, he said, Alas, my daughter, I opened my mouth unto the Lord, I cannot go back. She understood what he meant. He didn't explain to her.
"Now" for the following reason we must continually thank God:

Remember, the Bible is an Eastern book, and it speaks about the Eastern people, their thinking, their way. All the parables of our Lord are based on Eastern thinking, Eastern culture. So I am simply here to share with you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, those
wonderful customs and traditions which play a great part in the Bible.
And unless you understand those customs, those idioms, you will never get the truth of the Word of God as you should. So that has been my ministry to all of God, to the Western world. We say East and West.
When I say East or Orient, it means all the people that live across the water. That side of the Mediterranean Sea, or that side of the Suez Canal, or beginning of the Suez Canal, those countries, Mediterranean countries, countries on the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, those are the countries what we call Eastern world, from where the religions came. All the religions came from that part of the world.
So when I say East, you know what I am talking about. All the countries where the dark people are, are called Eastern world. All the countries where the white people are, are called Western world.
I am East, you are West. I am Orient, you are Occident.

In the Bible lands the farmers of a village go out to the fields early in the morning and come home after dark. They make a public fire for the whole village each morning. The farmers gather around the fire early in the morning to warm their hands and feet. The roads are not good. The road might just be a small path big enough for one man at a time. While it is still dark the farmer takes a rope made of coconut fiber and sets fire to the end of it and he holds it. Then, as he goes, he blows on it and it sparkles. Then he holds it down to the road so he may see where he is going. Our own sparks do not give out much light. We need to walk in the bright light of God's Word rather than trying to light our own path.

Joel Rufus Moseley (1870–1954) is one of the twentieth-century champions of American Pentecostalism. A brilliant scholar and university professor, he left the accolades of academia and searched a number of spiritual paths until he embraced Pentecostalism in 1910.
A contemporary of Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille and one of the many invited to the Spirital Forty Club, his unique style of preaching the scripture and ministering God's Word was noted in many of Dr. Wierwille's sharings.
He had ministry to the down-and-outs of society, openly campaigning against capital punishment, for racial desegregation, and above all else for living a life in the Holy Spirit he described as “Life as Love.” He blazed a path that was to influence (and confound) many Pentecostal leaders of his time, provided an example to those who would lead what become known as the Charismatic Renewal, and enjoyed a life of joy one rarely encounters.
