Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman James Randel Pell served for over 20 years between the U.S. Army and the Navy.
While assigned to STA Platoon he completed 2 combat tours supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Senior Chief Pell’s personal awards and decorations include the Bronze Star for Combat Valor, Purple Heart with Gold Star, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for Combat Valor and 3 Gold Stars, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for Combat Valor and Gold Star, Army achievement Medal with three Oak Leaves, and Combat Action Ribbon with Gold Star.
He has numerous other personal awards including the first ever HM2 Luke Milam DOD Combat Medic of the Year Award, 2004 American SWAT Association award for Valor, 2013 Navy Vanguard Award for Valor, 2016 Navy Education and Training Fouled Anchor Award, and has been Combat Promoted three times.
