NOTES: Part II, Why I Voted for Trump

Today, my cohost and I, Shaun Griffin, pickup our conversation in this second part of our series on why we voted for Trump. Welcome back Shaun

Chris recaps the path to his vote for Trump

Voting for Trump actually was quite easy because of his opponent, Hillary Clinton. It’s unlikely that you will find a more corrupt family than the Clintons. Death, destruction, thievery, money laundering, and felonies follow them everywhere, some if infamous internet folklore; some is very real. How could I vote for her? I ask that because on a personal level, the decision was easy, but even if I loved Hillary Clinton, I would never vote for her. Why? Because you are never voting for and electing a candidate, you are voting for and electing a platform, ideas, principles, and philosophies. I know many will disagree with me here and I hate the mantra “you are a trump lover” because you voted for Trump.

Personally, let me tell you what I think about Trump. He’s bombastic, arrogant, thin-skinned, childish at times, not often well-spoken, might be corrupt, and for goodness sakes, addicted to Twitter which likely means he cares way too much what others are saying about him. He appears to always be looking for a fight. None of these characteristics and noble in my opinion. However, despite all of this, he does have some good qualities. Like few Presidents I’ve seen, he gets things done; he is a doer thru and thru. The art of the deal as he likes to say.

However, none of that matters…his few good qualities and a plethora of flaws. Why? Because I didn’t elect Donald Trump, I elected a platform, I elected ideas, principles, and philosophies. Honestly, I’m not sure he even shares the same principles as the Republican party, but when he ran on them, the followed them both on the campaign trail and after in office. The platform is a platform of limited government (he didn’t do this very well), reducing regulation, but more importantly he supported the freedom to worship even if it was counter culture to the radical agendas of the culture movement and supported limiting abortion which would save lives. The Republicans are equally as flawed as democrats, when you define mankind as a bunch of sinners needing a savior, but when you look at the philosophies and the principles of each party, really the biblical choice is clear. I never voted for Trump, I voted for the platform he espoused, regardless of the individual character flaws.

Then I heard and read the following prophesy, published in Charisma Magazine.

“Trump shall become My trumpet to the American people, for he possesses qualities that are even hard to find in My people these days. Trump does not fear man nor will he allow deception and lies to go unnoticed. I am going to use him to expose darkness and perversion in America like never before, but you must understand that he is like a bull in a china closet. Many will want to throw him away because he will disturb their sense of peace and tranquility, but you must listen through the bantering to discover the truth that I will speak through him. I will use the wealth that I have given him to expose and launch investigations searching for the truth. Just as I raised up Cyrus to fulfill My purposes and plans, so have I raised up Trump to fulfill my purposes and plans prior to the 2016 election. You must listen to the trumpet very closely for he will sound the alarm and many will be blessed because of his compassion and mercy. Though many see the outward pride and arrogance, I have given him the tender heart of a father that wants to lend a helping hand to the poor and the needy, to the foreigner and the stranger.

The key that nailed by support to the ground was the statement, “Many will want to throw him away because he will disturb their sense of peace and tranquility…” which had already come to pass when I heard it.

So today let’s dive into the conversation.

April 28, 2011 - While listening to a television interview with American businessman Donald Trump, he heard God say, "you're hearing the voice of a president," and that a stronger relationship between the United States and Israel will occur in the future.

“I heard the Lord say: ‘Donald Trump is a wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness,’” Wallnau wrote in an Oct. 5 Charisma News article titled “Why I Believe Donald Trump Is the Prophesied President.”

I was updating some random social-media activity when I ran across a simple PowerPoint showing Trump seated in the Oval Office with the words "Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States." The image made a peculiar impression on my mind. I was dazed. Literally no one was thinking this would be a possibility, but I was sensing this was more than some random Facebook meme. It was a prophetic picture. It struck me the same way the "wrecking ball" word did.

I heard the Spirit impress upon my mind, "Read Isaiah 45." To be honest, I didn't recall what the chapter was about. I opened a Bible and began to read, "Thus saith the Lord to Cyrus whom I've anointed."

Cyrus? I thought. Who is he in relation to all this? I recalled that he was a heathen king who was indispensable to the protection of the Jews, but I was, frankly, confused as to what God was saying.

With 16 candidates running, many of whom are evangelicals, why would God talk about Cyrus? I quickly looked up the number of the next president. I confirmed that Barack Obama is number 44. The next president will indeed be number 45. I kept reading Isaiah 45.

Nearly 150 years before Cyrus' birth, God declared through the prophet Isaiah that a foreign man, a non-Jew named Cyrus, would be the anointed shepherd of his people and rebuild Jerusalem, beginning in the first phase with the house of the Lord. Regarding Cyrus, Isaiah the prophet spoke as follows:

"Thus says the Lord to Cyrus, His anointed, whose right hand I have held—to subdue nations before him and to loosen the loins of kings, to open doors before him so that the gates will not be shut: I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and shatter the bars of iron" (Is. 45:1-2).

Cyrus wasn't a Jew and he wasn't from the line of David, but God elevated this foreigner and called him "My anointed." When Isaiah described Cyrus as the Lord's "anointed," the word in Hebrew denotes a person specifically chosen and set apart for a specific task. It never occurred to me God anoints secular leaders who are not part of the faith community. Then again, how else would you describe Cyrus, Churchill, Lincoln or even Reagan?

God promised to intervene and help Cyrus "break open" and even conquer. The commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem starts with Cyrus' decree recorded in Ezra 1:1-4 to rebuild the house of the Lord. It was this "Cyrus decree" that worked its way through King Darius and King Artaxerxes until Nehemiah commenced his task to rebuild the wall surrounding Jerusalem.

Wisdom vs Revelation

Chris didn't have revelation, so he used wisdom to arrive at his vote. The two discuss how scripture admonishes the believer to seek wisdom and walk in it. Whereas Shaun discovered a series of prophetic words (messages). With wisdom he used those to guide him to his support for Trump. In this discussion Chris points out that two paths, both godly lead to the same conclusion, the same voting choice.

Matthew 24: Jesus answered, watch out that no one deceives you, for many will come in my name claiming I am the Christ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed, such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and Kingdom against Kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

ADDITIONAL PROPHECIES

There were several prophecies Shaun came across during the 2016 campaign, not discussed or mentioned during the podcast for the sake of time.

Mark Taylor Prophecy – Water of a duck’s back

(mentioned, but not read or discussed beyond the phrase “water off a duck’s back.”

The Spirit of God says, I have chosen this man, Donald Trump, for such a time as this. For as Benjamin Netanyahu is to Israel, so shall this man be to the United States of America! For I will use this man to bring honor, respect and restoration to America. America will be respected once again as the most powerful and prosperous nation on Earth, (other than Israel). The dollar will be the strongest it has ever been in the history of the United States, and will once again be the currency by which all others are judged.

The Spirit of God says, the enemy will quake and shake and fear this man I have anointed. They will even quake and shake when he announces he is running for president, it will be like the shot heard across the world. The enemy will say what shall we do now? This man knows all our tricks and schemes. We have been robbing America for decades, what shall we do to stop this? The Spirit says HA! No one shall stop this that l have started! For the enemy has stolen from America for decades and it stops now! For I will use this man to reap the harvest that the United States has sown for and plunder from the enemy what he has stolen and return it seven-fold back to the United States. The enemy will say Israel, Israel, what about Israel? For Israel will be protected by America once again. The spirit says yes! America will once again stand hand and hand with Israel, and the two shall be as one. For the ties between Israel and America will be stronger than ever, and Israel will flourish like never before.

The Spirit of God says, I will protect America and Israel, for this next president will be a man of his word, when he speaks the world will listen and know that there is something greater in him than all the others before him. This man’s word is his bond and the world and America will know this and the enemy will fear this, for this man will be fearless. The Spirit says, when the financial harvest begins so shall it parallel in the spiritual for America.

The Spirit of God says, in this next election they will spend billions to keep this president in; it will be like flushing their money down the toilet. Let them waste their money, for it comes from and it is being used by evil forces at work, but they will not succeed, for this next election will be a clean sweep for the man I have chosen. They will say things about this man (the enemy), but it will not affect him, and they shall say it rolls off of him like the duck, for as the feathers of a duck protect it, so shall My feathers protect this next president. Even mainstream news media will be captivated by this man and the abilities that I have gifted him with, and they will even begin to agree with him says the Spirit of God.

"There will be a praying president, not a religious one. 'For I will fool the people,' says the Lord. 'I will fool the people. Yes, I will.'

"God says, 'The one that is chosen shall go in, and they shall say, "He has hot blood. For the Spirit of God says, 'Yes, he may have hot blood, but he will bring the walls of protection on this country in a greater way and the economy of this country shall change rapidly,' says the Lord of Hosts. "Listen to the Word of the Lord. God says, 'I will put at your helm for two terms a president who will pray, but he will not be a praying president when he starts.'"

Clement says, "I will raise up the Trump to be a trumpet and Bill Gates to open up the gate of a financial realm for the church, says the Lord. ... It shall come to pass that the man that I place in the highest office shall go in whispering My name. But God said, 'When he enters into the office, he will be shouting out by the power of the Spirit, for I shall fill him with My Spirit when he goes into office, and there will be a praying man in the highest seat in the land.'"

Clement passed away in late November 2016, only weeks after Trump was elected president. As weighty as his words were, he's not the only one who prophesied Trump's win
