OPENING: SCOTUS is the latest US institution under assault. Today on The GRID!

Roe v Wade, Abortion, Women’s rights, murder, choice, women’s healthcare. Today we bring clarity to the unclear. You need to understand what’s really going on, first and foremost. And for the first time, I’m putting a warning label on a podcast, a PG13 rating because we are going to talk about abortion.

I also want to start with a caveat. If you have had an abortion, I’m not here to condemn you so please hear that in my heart. It is wrong, but so are a host of other sins. Abortion is unique in the guilt and shame that it brings to a mother, but there is hope. Christ died for your sins just like he did mine. He bore your shame, my shame, and all sins on the cross, so if you carry that shame, I implore you to go into the loving arms of Jesus that you may receive his grace, mercy, and forgiveness. I wanted you to hear my heart first before we dive in to the topic itself.

So first, let’s talk about what abortion is and is not. Unless you fully understand that, the rest of the conversation is merely academic.

My layman’s definition on abortion is this; it’s man’s sinful intervention to end the process of life. Pure and simple. So let’s take a few moments and actually talk about what “man’s sinful intervention” really means.

There are primarily 2 types of abortion according to Planned Parenthood. The first is the abortion pill and the second is in-clinic abortion.

  1. In regards to the abortion pill, it’s a use of two different medications, mifepristone and misoprostol. Mifepristone is a synthetic steroid that blocks progesterone. In essence, it cuts off the blood supply & nutrients to the developing embryo or child. In addition, it destroys the embryo’s attachment to the uterine wall. Misoprostol causes the uterus to expel the embryo, in effect inducing early labor. Working together in short, the first bill kills the embryo, and the second flushes it out of the uterus and body for disposal.
  2. For in-clinic/procedure based abortions, there are a couple of types
    1. Vacuum Aspiration or sometimes referred to as a “suction abortion”. This occurs up to 14 weeks of pregnancy
    2. Dilation & Evacuation or D&E, is for pregnancies greater than 12 weeks.
      1. Your Cervix is dilated, and in addition to vacuum suction, forceps and other medical tools are used. In some cases a shot is given first to stop the fetal heartbeat before the procedure.
    3. Late term D&X, Dilation & Extraction.
    4. For the in-clinic procedures, these are the medical descriptions of the procedure…it actually sounds benign, but it’s meant to…the left has successfully framed this conversation into medical terms, thus the reason it’s referred to as “women’s healthcare”…but what really happens in this quote unquote “medical procedure?”
  3. If it’s in the first 7 weeks of pregnancy, a long-thin tube is inserted into the uterus and a large syringe is attached to the tube and the embryo is literally forcefully “suctioned out.” If between 6-14 weeks, the cervix is stretched open with cervical metal rods which often requires anesthesia. A hard plastic tube is inserted into the uterus, and is connected to a suction machine. This machine pulls the fetus’ body apart and out of the uterus…yes you heard that correctly, it rips apart the baby, and then suctions it out of the woman’s body. In addition, the doctor often uses a long-shaped knife called a curette to scrape the fetus an fetal parts that still remain in the uterus. Again, in the sick reframing of semantics, a doctor will often refer to the baby’s arms and limbs as “products of conception”.
  4. Now is where this gets real sick. If between 13-24 weeks of pregnancy, the D&E is performed. The baby is too large at this point to be torn apart by suction alone, so the cervix must be opened even wider by numerous thin rods of seaweed 1-2 days before the abortion. Then the doctor pulls out the baby parts w/ forceps and crushes the skull for easy removal. The curette is almost certainly used to scrape out the contents of the uterus, making sure all of the baby is completely gone.
  5. If over 20 weeks, D&X is used…the prep and the Cervix has to be opened in the same way as in the D&E, but in this case, the doctor uses ultrasound to locate the baby’s legs. Then the doctor grabs the legs with the forceps, and then manually delivers the baby by force up to the head; then the doctor inserts the scissors into the base of the skull to create a hole or opening. A suction catheter is placed in the opening to remove the baby’s brain. The skull then collapses and the baby is completely removed.

Honestly, this is one of the hardest podcasts I’ve had to research because it makes me want to vomit.

That ladies in gentleman is the quote “women’s healthcare” that the ungodly are trying to defend. If you did this to an animal, you would end up in jail for animal cruelty. If you send a spacecraft to Mars and they discover a fossilized microbe, it’s called signs of life…but a baby in the womb, the most vulnerable the most unprotected person in the United States, is not called life….it’s called a woman’s choice.

So what are some of the reasons that babies are aborted? What are the reasons that 63 million American babies have died in the womb since 1973 and Roe v Wade? What other relevant statistics exist?

25% of US Women will have an abortion before the age of 45. Yep, 1 in 4 women.

One of the most common stats you here is that it’s teenage pregnancies for women who have no way to take care of a child. Well that’s interesting since 88% of abortions occur in women who are age 20 or older.

In 2019, Unmarried women accounted for 86% of all abortions and black women were 3.6x more likely to have an abortion than white women…that’s 360% folks. I wonder if BLM is looking at this issue since abortion is clearly an assault on the African American community.

The reasons that people have abortions occur is difficult to calculate since typically there are multiple reasons with any given person…but according to a study in 2004, these are the main reasons:
