1) Don't embrace sin (Amnon & Absalom)

• Sin ignores the fear of the Lord and love of neighbor

• Sin doesn't keep its promises

• Sin pursues good things in wicked ways

• Sin pursues wicked things dressed up as righteousness

2) Don't be passive with sin (David)

• Address sin before it can grow

• Embrace the reconciliation to God available only in Christ
