Jesus promises his disciples secure and complete joy and peace. So we naturally want to ask how and why this could be possible.

1. How does Jesus give this joy and peace? i) By achieving our redemption on the cross

ii) As we abide in him

2.Why is Jesus the source of this joy and peace          i) Because he changes our identity         ii) Because he guarantees it by his resurrection
