Calum Watt (T: @Calumwatt12) grew up on a small hobby farm in Harvey, in the southwest of Western Australia. From a young age he developed a passion for plants and agriculture, but it was not until a stint at university that he developed his third passion; genetics.

His passion for genetics, plants and agriculture has since seen him complete almost three university degrees combining them all. Currently in the final stages of his Ph.D., Calum is looking forward to combining genetics research and crop breeding to improve the productivity, profitability and sustainability of Australian crop production.
