Maddison is a research scientist within the Plant Industries Development branch of the Northern Territory Department of Primary Industry and Resources. She studies the impact of climate change on mango flowering in Northern Territory production regions.
Her other studies identify best practice management for Australia’s mango industry and examine the dependency of mango flowering on temperature. She has previously studied fruit quality control throughout export supply chains in both Australia and Cambodia.
Maddison is an advocate for sustainable agricultural practices that empower communities, improve nutritional diversity and preserve natural resources. She is passionate about the communication of science, empowering youth in agriculture and the role of agriculture in sustainable development.
