A new, more sophisticated rover will be deployed to Mars in 2020 to scour the planet's surface for signs of past life. The mission will borrow heavily from the work of past rovers, including Curiosity, which is now roaming Martian terrain. Though NASA is mindful of costs, the will of both people and politicians will have to shift if space exploration is to continue.

I truly hope that if this mission does go ahead that we all get a good hard look at whatever results that fly back to us. That is assuming that NASA build it right and it is not built with sub-par hardware and software as per previous Mars missions.
