AT THE FIRST DAWN OF LOVE - PART ONE

For eighteen years, Marie had been on the run from Islamic State terrorists who had built a caliphate in her country.

A Catholic, she was the target of Christian persecution by the Muslim terrorist group who had established their jihadist mission at home and worldwide.

Nearly the whole country knew of her predicament. However, no one came to her aid or stood up for the injustices that she and her family had been subjected to by the extremists. Not even the Catholics themselves saw fit to stand up for her family's plight or assist them in any way. What they did though, was keep them at arm's length. Despite being victimized, they were viewed with suspicion.

Her tears flowed as she thought about freedom. How liberating to be free! She felt an emancipating moment after that deluge of tears.

Wiping them away, she stood up and walked out of the church. She didn't have to run anymore, she thought, as she walked down the steps of the church building and into the warmth of a bright and sunny day.
