I go to The Mall to investigate the ruins of the Capitol Research building. It's another area added by the A World of Pain mod.
DISCLAIMER: This episode was recorded after the Windows Fall Creators update that partially broke Fallout Stutter Remover. You may notice more stutters and instability when I travel through the map and play the game. This problem was solved only after the release of the F3TF (Fallout 3 Tick Fix).
The mods I used in this series are listed here. Also, the complete playlist is now available on Youtube and Odysee.
Timestamps are below:
- 00:26 - From Megaton to the National Archives. Fewer mutants near the building (maybe).
- 02:55 - More Super Mutants.
- 04:03 - Talon Mercenaries killed the Super Mutants near the Capitol Building.
- 08:28 - Looting the dead and inventory management.
- 12:32 - Enclave camp on the north side of the Capitol Building. The Deathclaw Control Scrambler helped us with the deathclaw.
- 13:44 - Looting the dead.
- 16:40 - The Capitol Research building is to the north, near the Capitol. I order the followers to wait before entering.
- 17:30 - Sorry for any poor frame rate you may see. AWOP areas were too demanding for my old computer.
- 17:53 - Gas leak ahead.
- 18:05 - Super mutants everywhere. I place some frag mines just in case.
- 19:03 - A Centaur. I kill some of them to lure them into my trap. Things didn't work as I expected.
- 22:55 - The area ahead has some floors, with Super Mutants above you.
- 23:27 - Grenade didn't hit the enemy below. I retreat.
- 24:01 - I really didn't see that tripwire. Light Step perk saved my life. A frag mine is hidden under the tire.
- 24:40 - Near the escalator, I kill two of them.
- 25:31 - Hacking Grog's Terminal. I'll read the diary. Al the notes will be added to your pip-boy.
- 29:10 - Two ammo boxes on the floor near the radio.
- 29:58 - Super Mutants on the floor above. They had missile launchers, so I used mine first.
- 30:26 - There may be Overlords with missile launchers in that area.
- 31:52 - Back to the hallway, I enter the area with the bathroom sign near the door.
- 32:30 - A Stealth Boy in the toilet. Yikes.
- 32:40 - Lockpicking the briefcase on the floor near the lantern. Only a Mentats was inside.
- 33:25 - A safe on the counter.
- 34:18 - Checking the east hallway. I lockpick the locked door near the security sign. It's a room with ammo and a first aid box. I even found a Tactical Sniper Rifle in a gun cabinet.
- 35:54 - I turn right. There's a bottlecap mine on a table. Also, an ammo box and frag mines are on the floor near the window.
- 38:18 - Back in the hallway, the door on the left leads to the Research and Operations area. That's where I go now.
- 39:03 - I see lots of lockers in front of me.
- 39:38 - Super Mutants ahead. I place some frag mines on the floor.
- 40:13 - Ammo for the sniper rifle on the locked suitcase.
- 40:26 - More enemies in another room with terminals. The fight begins.
- 41:52 - Most enemies are upstairs.
- 42:48 - I kill another one to lure the enemies. Only a few followed me.
- 45:11 - A grenade on an open trunk nearby. I loot some bodies.
- 45:23 - The Operations room has sandbags around the door.
- 46:01 - Two ammo boxes on the containers behind the sandbags.
- 46:14 - Hacking the door to the clinic. Chems and healing items are scattered across the room.
- 47:38 - The key to that door is related to another quest of this mod. I found the key in another episode.
- 48:37 - Back in the Operations room.
I resume my exploration of the Capitol Research building in the next episode.
