Dracula by Bram Stoker chapter 8 narrated by Isaac Birchall

Mina wakes up in the middle of the night and find’s Lucy’s bed empty. In a panic Mina runs out of the house to find her, and sees Lucy in the churchyard with a tall dark figure looming over her. Mina darts to the church and catches the glance of 2 gleaming red eyes looking towards her. The figure vanishes and leaves Lucy in a strange sleep like state from which Mina tries to gently wake up. They make their way home trying best to remain hidden from anyone, and head back to bed. In the morning Mina finds two little red dots on Lucy’s throat…
Lucy’s sleepwalking gets progressively worse as they stay in Whitby, but Mina stops Lucy from getting out again by keeping the key to the door on a chain around her neck. Lucy’s health gets progressively worse, and being constantly woken up at night starts to tell on Mina’s own state too.
A letter from a Whitby solicitor orders the boxes from the crashes Russian ship to be delivered to Carfax in London, to the house that Jonathan Harker bought from Dracula. Eventually Mina hears of Jonathan in a letter from a nun in a hospital in Budapest. He is fine but suffering from a brain fever. Mina leaves for London to go by train to meet Jonathan immediately.
Dr Seward’s patient Renfield has become more violent and starts telling the doctor that his master is at hand. One night, Renfield escapes from the hospital and Dr Seward has to chase him down before he can do any serious harm.
