A midi guitar piece from 2000. The recording was a CD collection of various styles called Worlds Apart. I sold a few of these.... ( " few " being the operative word ).
This piece was drawn out of listening to what I think is one of Eric Clapton's very best collaborations. Apparently his first go at film music . Clapton worked with Michael Nyman to compose the music for the BBC film Edge Of Darkness in 1985. The piece that I particularly liked was called Obituary ( I think ). Clapton uses an acoustic guitar in a way I'd never heard before - to create a sense of fear and anxiety. Usually the acoustic guitar has a romantic, gentle, conciliatory sort of feel. All the music for the film puts you on edge - and the acoustic guitar track in particular is really effective.
