Love can be intoxicating, you know right?
It sweeps you off your feet and makes you feel safe, relaxed and overly excited around your beloved. You don't mind if World War III just began at your doorstep or if Elon Musk has made Twitter Blue free, instead you are more concerned about spending more time with your beloved (especially when the relationship is 2 days old).
When things go terribly wrong, the lovebirds who were once inseparable may turn out to be worst enemies. Now, we begin to wonder what those early promises of: "I can't do without you", "I can't live without you", "you are the air that I breathe", or "you are the sugar in my garri", have become.
The newly found ~~lovers~~ enemies may go to the extent of erasing every memory about the other; deleting all contact details and blocking each other on all social media so that they become nonexistent to each other.
They create Distance!
El amor puede ser embriagador, 驴sabes?
Te barre de tus pies y te hace sentir seguro, relajado y sobreexcitado cerca de tu amada. No te importa si la Tercera Guerra Mundial acaba de empezar en la puerta de tu casa o si Elon Musk ha conseguido que Twitter sea gratis, en lugar de eso te preocupa m谩s pasar m谩s tiempo con tu amada (especialmente cuando la relaci贸n tiene 2 d铆as).
Cuando las cosas van terriblemente mal, los tortolitos que antes eran inseparables pueden convertirse en los peores enemigos. Ahora, empezamos a preguntarnos qu茅 ser谩n aquellas primeras promesas de: "no puedo estar sin ti", "no puedo vivir sin ti", "eres el aire que respiro" o "eres el az煤car de mi garri", se han convertido.
Los reci茅n encontrados ~~amantes~~ enemigos pueden llegar al extremo de borrar todo recuerdo sobre el otro; borrar todos los datos de contacto y bloquearse mutuamente en todas las redes sociales para que se vuelvan inexistentes el uno para el otro.
Crean distancia.
When the Distance is created, it becomes very difficult for the situation to be remedied, albeit it is not an impossible mission (Mission Impossible part 7).
Yet, it takes one willing party to walk down the road seeking reconciliation or attempting to break that distance. In some cases the other may be willing, and in other cases s/he may be headstrong never to give in.
This is life!
In "Someone like You," Adele (representing the main character of the song), experienced similar situation. In her case, the distance was created, and her ex-beloved moved on, got married and is progressing in life (unlike African Magic that he will suffer from Village people).
Obviously, she hasn't moved on, and her hope of defeating the distance was to creep back into the mind of the man. Well, this can be a challenge in defeating the distance, as it can lead to defeating the union.

Cuando se crea la Distancia, se hace muy dif铆cil que la situaci贸n se remedie, aunque no es una misi贸n imposible (Misi贸n Imposible parte 7).
Sin embargo, se necesita una parte dispuesta a recorrer el camino buscando la reconciliaci贸n o intentando romper esa distancia. En algunos casos el otro puede estar dispuesto, y en otros puede ser testarudo y no ceder nunca.
As铆 es la vida.
En Alguien como t煤, Adele (representando al personaje principal de la canci贸n), vive una situaci贸n similar. En su caso, se cre贸 la distancia, y su ex amado sigui贸 adelante, se cas贸 y est谩 progresando en la vida (a diferencia de African Magic que sufrir谩 de Village people).
Obviamente, ella no ha seguido adelante, y su esperanza de derrotar a la distancia era arrastrarse de nuevo en la mente del hombre. Bueno, esto puede ser un reto para vencer la distancia, ya que puede llevar a vencer la uni贸n.
