In this week's episode, sprocket888 is joined by viperxl007. They take a quick look back on how the Russel has progressed in the past week based on the findings from last week. The conclusion is that sprocket888 still needs clarification, and more practice is needed. As part of a distraction to the practice, sprocket went fishing for some earnings trades at the tail end of earnings season. He took two trades. Both were over 80% IV_Percentile trades. The first was on $DG Dollar General. sprocket looks to have it thrash but stick within the standard deviation, so he sold a short strangle. A second play in $VSCO was also put on with the same thesis of staying inside the expected move. As always, earnings trades can be unpredictable, but once the IV becomes so stretched, the probability tilts in the house's favor to have a go at it.
