There are today an unprecedented ability to access different art forms with literally a movement of an index finger in an instant. This means that there is also the possibility of a very pungent fermentation, germination, pollination between the arts, since experience and imagination do not discriminate and say "oh, this is music, and only music," but rather "everything I have ever thought or felt, in some sense, or seen, or touched, goes into this 'song'" since the imagination is something that unifies and doesn't live by making neat distinctions. In this podcast, we talk about ekphrasis (which usually. means poems written about, or inspired by, paintings) in the context of imagination, individuation, sex, and the ingredients that go into every act of creation.
