IIM Kozhikode Overview

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-K) was established in 1997, in collaboration with the State Government of Kerala. It is situated on two hillocks in the Kunnamangalam Area of the ancient city of Calicut in Kerala and is the 5th IIM to be established. It provides world class set-up which facilitates every IIMK resident to be exposed to a healthful and sensible experience. The institute is managed by a devoted and enthusiastic administrative staff of 36 and is one of the most well-organized institutions in the country.

IIM-K is the first institute in Asia to initiate the Interactive Learning Program for the working executives in India. The two year Executive Management Education Program, started with 300 class contact hours in 2001-02, is today considered to be the best and most demanding distance learning program available in the country providing around 700 class contact hours. Academics is always an extreme priority for IIMK and with a group of highly skilled and expert faculty, and supported by a large number of dedicated adjunct visiting faculty from industries and other leading management institutes, the institute proves to be one of the best among others.
