This week we are talking about leading like a girl. That’s right. Why is leadership gendered? Why is leading like a girl not advice we give? We talk about where masculine and feminine leadership traits came from and what they are. We talk about the dangers for every gender when we as a society over index on one or the other. We talk about mean girls. We talk about the Athena Doctrine. We talk about our experiences of assimilating to masculine leadership traits as a sign of being a good leader. We talk about why the narrow band of masculinity cripples many men from showing up fully at work.All in all, this is a meaty one.
