I arrived in Denver on July 4th 1978. I had the clothes on my back and a guitar in my hand. I got a cab from Stapleton to 10th and Sherman, in a place they call Poet's Row. I also had a key in my pocket. The place was furnished- a studio and an old outdated kitchen. A lot of my early songs were made there.
