In today’s episode, the large fire that broke out in the Akrounta area of Limassol was on Sunday afternoon described as manageable after light rain began to fall in the area, raising hopes of totally putting the blaze out. In other news, thousands of people took part in a peaceful march in central Nicosia on Sunday night in support of migrants in the country. Starting from Eleftheria Square, demonstrators marched around central streets under a heavy police presence although no trouble was reported. And anybody voting in Cyprus next year will have a new party to choose from as intensive moves are underway to establish Volt Cyprus, which will focus on resolving the Cyprus problem, modernising the country and European integration.
