Remember a time before cell phones when they were only used to make emergency calls? Now, these devices hold the key to our ENTIRE lives. But this convenience comes at a cost. A 2023 survey by Reviews.org found that more than half of Americans say they're ADDICTED to their phones. We know all too well how easy it is to form an unhealthy relationship with them -- but did you know that it can lead to relationship issues --including with our children-- and even focus and memory problems?

Nicole sought out CNET's Consumer Tech and Mobile Reporter, Abrar Al-Heeti on how we can break this device dependence so our children won't fall victim to being a prisoner of this technology. She breaks down some productive tips to help you cut down on things like 'doomscrolling', notifications and that constant yearning we have to reach for our phones through her own encounters, research, and insight from psychologists.
