THE WATERFALL JOURNEY God has made it clear that what we share in the Waterfall Journey is His heart. It is all about God. It is about His Fatherhood; the supremacy of Jesus and the significance of the Cross in history, in our lives and for the Kingdom; and it brings to radiant and powerful life the Holy Spirit in His rightful place.It embodies the outworking of God’s divine plan in the lives of ordinary people, which lifts us into our extra-ordinary place in His family and His story. It delivers the ‘HOW DO I DO THAT?’ of being Kingdom ambassadors taking Jesus into the world.This is the Holy Spirit’s ministry and the emphasis is on being able to co-operate with Him for our inner healing and deepening walk with God, even as He equips us for our own ministry. Stripped of religion, tradition and denominational bias the simplicity of God’s story and plan is profound, changing the lives of those who allow God’s eternal heart to touch them. He is endlessly loving, living and active and He calls us into a deep and intimate place where we walk with Him, aligned to His will and purposes. The Holy Spirit is our guide, healer and comforter as we learn to follow and to play our part in God’s family.

It’s maturing, journeying and being willing to go through the narrow gate.
It is being the friend of Jesus, not a servant, but on the team.
It’s allowing Jesus to renew the mind and to be open to inner healing.
It is being equipped for your full ministry

Forgiveness from our sin, flowing from the Cross is the greatest gift that Jesus gave us. It means that because of His sacrifice we can stand in the Father's presence, clothed in His righteousness, clean and upright because of His blood. The challenge is to live in the freedom the death of Jesus bought us and to honour God by our choices and in our lives.

To choose to live life in the Waterfall turns life upside down. There is a cost to discipleship. Kingdom rules, values and experiences are total different to those of the world. We are called to be set apart and it helps to think through the elements that will be changed if we choose the challenge of discipleship and living in the Waterfall. The Words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount set out the radical changes that will confront us.

As a disciple there are new perspectives and unique experiences. Travelling with Jesus will give you new insights into the devil's schemes but Jesus will lead you in safety under His Lordship. He will build your spiritual muscle as He did mine, stage by stage. Worship, water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit were all important stepping stones for me.

SERIES 5. THE WATERFALL JOURNEY Chapter 6: Have you heard from God?
Did you know you can hear God as Jesus did? Standing in the Waterfall is the place where Jesus walked in earth, abiding in the presence of the Father. He said more than once that He said the words that the Father gave him to say and that He obeyed what the Father told Him to do. Jesus did what came into His head and His heart because He was aligned to the Father's heart and in the flow of the Spirit in that place. So are we, when we choose to live in the Waterfall. Trust what comes into your head and your heart comes from the Father. Say it: do it! and see what happens. Read John 14 and reflect! Believe, trust and obey!

Before the Fall, Adam and Eve had a secure foundation, a secure home, a place of love, belonging and connection, their experience was of having all their needs fully satisfied within their trusting relationship with the Father. They knew who they were and whose they were.
Disobedience led to spiritual death and the fracture of the relationship between the Father and His children. Adam and Eve had now to survive cut off from their source of love. Moreover, they had eaten the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil now they thought they knew best.
The consequences of living in the fallen world, outside the environment in which we were born to thrive, mean that we all suffer emotional damage, which underpins the way we experience life. This chapter helps us understand our particular story, in terms of the emotional baggage we carry that prevents us from living in freedom of all the fullness Jesus died on the Cross to give us.

HOW DO WE BEGIN to understand our stories?
Our stories are very important to God (see Psalm 139) for when transformed, they will be a deep reservoir of blessing to be poured out for Kingdom purposes ‘for it is with the comfort we receive that we will comfort others’.
Life in the fallen world is a bruising affair and our stories may not feel like a blessing at the moment, for they have been lived out in hazardous circumstances. Consequently, our images have become distorted by sin, anger, fear and shame but this is why we all need God’ s intervention, to accept the Cross and accept the Holy Spirit’s ministry. God has trusted us with our stories and knows when and how to transform the pain and set us free.
There are many ways to help the process of healing but when they are led by God, recovery is sustained and with timing that is significant. It is good to remind ourselves at this stage that God values our stories so much that Jesus died for us to be able to bring them before the throne of the Father, and actively and meaningfully into God’s story. More The Father wants us home basking in His absolute love.

Chapter 4. The Problem of Pain
We are going to explore the emotional pain that distorts the created image we were born to be, so that we can be aware of what is going on within us and co-operate with the Holy Spirit in our healing. Why do we have pain?We were created to live in the Waterfall of God’s love, nourished and sustained by having our love tanks filled to overflowing through our relationship with the Father. In the fallen world full love tanks do not happened. We all carry some degree of emotional pain, that drives us, often without us being aware of its presence. Understanding where it comes from and how it develops allows us to co-operate with the Holy Spirit in His ministry of healing.

GOD'S STORY
Our starting point is God's story.
Seeing the consistent narrative of God, from the realm that preceded Biblical times, through to end times, changes for many their whole perception of their faith. The discovery that our stories matter to God, indeed that His story cannot be fulfilled without us because He chooses that to be so, is revealing. It makes how we travel with Him and how we approach each day of our lives important in Kingdom terms.

THE IMPERATIVE OF PEACE FOR THE END TIMES
Religion can look complicated and inaccessible. Jesus didn't make it so. Indeed when it's stripped back, there are a few words that lead us simply into the profound truths, that Jesus died to give us as we walk in his footsteps.
Abide in the Father's presence
Believe
Trust and Obey
These 4 words will get you started on the journey of discipleship.
Peace is also word of profound significance. In Psalm 34 a Psalm of David he encapsulates the pathway of the follower.
Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,
keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
Psalm 34:11-14

The healing touch of Jesus and letting go of pain
In this Episode we are going to learn ways of receiving the touch of Jesus into our lives. There are many occasions when taking Jesus there to our inner world brings comfort, healing and enlightenment. It is open to us all to have a special, safe and personal place where we can go in our spirit to meet with Jesus and spend time with Him. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to help us to understand our stories and to implement change but it is Jesus who will minister, in very personal and creative ways, the touch that brings our healing and wholeness

FORGIVEN
IN THIS EPISODE WE are going to explore the practical steps to forgiveness. Jesus made it a command in the Lord’s Prayer that we should forgive others that we might be forgiven. This is because Jesus went to the Cross for us to be free of the crushing burden of sin and unforgiveness. We are going to look at forgiving ourselves and forgiving others. TWFJ 14. Spider Diagram 2. Thinking and ChoicesSend us a text
In the previous episode we began to see how to use a Spider Diagram in co-operation with the Holy Spirit in order to understand our story. In this episode we continue the process of bringing inner healing and freedom by looking at the completion of the diagram filling in the thinking and choices that arise from the issue that is concerning us.
Ultimately what we are seeking to find from the Spider Diagram is ‘What is the biggest lie we have believed about ourselves?’
It is this thinking that is the engine which drives our choices and behaviours and then interprets our experience.

In this episode we explore how to use a SPIDER DIAGRAM with the help of the Holy Spirit, to continue the process of bringing inner healing and freedom to our story. THE SD Can be used to understand major occurrences in our lives and it also helps us gain insights into the way we respond to anything that concerns us in the here and NOW. The Spider diagram teaches us self-awareness and creates an understanding how we experience life in our inner world. It is a tool of the Holy Spirit and He uses it to transform us. TWFJ 12. INNER STORY: How problems develop
IN ORDER TO CO-OPERATE FULLY IN OUR HEALING IT HELPS TO KNOW
HOW WE WERE DESIGNED TO FUNCTION IN SPIRIT-TO-SPIRIT HARMONY WITH OUR FATHER.
As a result of the Fall there was a fundamental shift. The design of mankind was literally turned on its head. Self and worldly considerations came to the surface and the spiritual life of man became sidelined and shrunk.
In a world of fractured relationships each individual was driven to get their own needs met.
Physical living became pressing and insistent in its perceived urgency to survive. Experiences, greed and selfishness meant that beliefs, feelings and choices were very far from godly and thus spiritual life was squeezed to insignificance as man played God. Here is the death the Father spoke of in Genesis. Cut off from the waterfall of spiritual sustenance life became about need, emptiness and pain.

If we make a decision to trust God and live as He intended IN HIS PRESENCE, IN THE WATERFALL the next stage begins and everything changes radically. for now it is about learning to live intimately with God. We move into a new relationship with each person of the Trinity and the process of restoration and renewal, which began when we gave our life to Christ, can now be speeded up.
Creatively, God transforms the pain of the past into His resources for ministry. When we are ready, sufficiently healed and restored. In God’s time He will launch us into our full ministry which, because we have learnt to operate under His direction, will be effective in Kingdom terms.

We are going to explore the emotional pain that distorts the created image we were born to be, so that we can be aware of what is going on within us and co-operate with the Holy Spirit in our healing.
WHY DO WE HAVE PAIN? We were created to live in the Waterfall of God’s love, nourished and sustained by having our love tanks filled to overflowing through our relationship with the Father. In the fallen world full love tanks do not happened. We all carry some degree of emotional pain, that drives us, often without us being aware of its presence. Understanding where it comes from and how it develops allows us to co-operate with the Holy Spirit in His ministry of healing.

Living in the Waterfall - Identity
In this Episode we see that we were born to draw our sense of identity from what God says about us, as we stand in the certainty of being absolutely loved. This was lost to us in the Fall, as we replaced the love of the Father with all manner of idols in an effort to feel love and belonging , value and worth , meaning and purpose.
The most important change in our life occurs when we are restored by the ministry of the Holy Spirit, to understand the sacrifice Jesus made to restore us to be the people we were created to be, heirs in the family of God. You are who God says you are.

In this Episode: Before the Fall, Adam and Eve had a secure foundation, a secure home, a place of love, belonging and connection, their experience was of having all their needs fully satisfied within their trusting relationship with the Father. They knew who they were and whose they were.
Disobedience led to spiritual death and the fracture of the relationship between the Father and His children. Adam and Eve had now to survive cut off from their source of love. Moreover, they had eaten the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil now they thought they knew best.
The consequences of living in the fallen world, outside the environment in which we were born to thrive, mean that we all suffer emotional damage, which underpins the way we experience life

In this Episode: Through the Fall sin has come into the world and has broken the harmony of relationships between the Father and His children. The consequences lead to the banishment of Adam and Eve from the presence of the Father and the distortion of their God-given image. Cut off from the place where they were created to dwell, trying to survive and striving to get their needs met, sin is rampant. The atonement for sin was blood sacrifice.
God's rescue plan for His children was drastic and costly. The Father was giving His son as the once and for all time sacrifice, so that we, His children could return to live in His presence, free from the burden of sin. The divine exchange at the Cross means that we can now abide in the Father's presence, live in the fullness of all Jesus died to give us and fulfill our God-given destiny for the Kingdom.

WHERE ARE YOU IN YOUR WALK WITH GOD?
Do you feel there should be more to life than you are presently experiencing? Do you feel fearful? Empty? Hopeless as you look out at the world around us?
Never has God needed His children of light more - do you know His daily leading? Are you aware of the urgency of being willing to travel His path, knowing who you are and your destiny in Him?
God is alive and calling you to come home so that you may take your place at His side, in intimate relationship with the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. There to be transformed from the brokenness of the fallen world to the image God created you to be and fulfilling your destiny for the heavenly kingdom.
BUT HOW ? For thirty years in response to the Holy Spirit's leading this ministry has been changing lives. It is living Christianity from God's perspective. He is offering the practical steps that will open up the way to intimacy, healing, wholeness and beyond. So that you can stand in authority, confident in who you are , knowing the voice of God as He works out His plans and purposes through your life.
Are you willing? There are costs to discipleship but what an adventure, to travel in company with the living God. To join God in His story. To see life through His perspectives.
WHAT TO EXPECT?

First, we lay the Biblical Foundation and then the HOW of living it out 24/7.
This ministry is all about the Father's heart , how you can live now in the deluge of His love; it is about living in the fulness of all Jesus died to restore to us by His death on the Cross and it is about being able to co-operate with the Holy Spirit, as He leads our transformation and growth.

IN THIS EPISODE WE are going to explore the practical steps to forgiveness. Jesus made it a command in the Lord’s Prayer that we should forgive others that we might be forgiven. This is because Jesus went to the Cross for us to be free of the crushing burden of sin and unforgiveness. We are going to look at forgiving ourselves and forgiving others. In the previous episode we began to see how to use a Spider Diagram in co-operation with the Holy Spirit in order to understand our story. In this episode we continue the process of bringing inner healing and freedom by looking at the completion of the diagram filling in the thinking and choices that arise from the issue that is concerning us.
Ultimately what we are seeking to find from the Spider Diagram is ‘What is the biggest lie we have believed about ourselves?’
It is this thinking that is the engine which drives our choices and behaviours and then interprets our experience.

THE SD Can be used to understand major occurrences in our lives and it also helps us gain insights into the way we respond to anything that concerns us in the here and NOW. TWFJ 12. INNER STORY: How problems develop
IN ORDER TO CO-OPERATE FULLY IN OUR HEALING IT HELPS TO KNOW
HOW WE WERE DESIGNED TO FUNCTION IN SPIRIT-TO-SPIRIT HARMONY WITH OUR FATHER.
As a result of the Fall there was a fundamental shift. The design of mankind was literally turned on its head. Self and worldly considerations came to the surface and the spiritual life of man became sidelined and shrunk.
In a world of fractured relationships each individual was driven to get their own needs met.
Physical living became pressing and insistent in its perceived urgency to survive. Experiences, greed and selfishness meant that beliefs, feelings and choices were very far from godly and thus spiritual life was squeezed to insignificance as man played God. Here is the death the Father spoke of in Genesis. Cut off from the waterfall of spiritual sustenance life became about need, emptiness and pain.

If we make a decision to trust God and live as He intended IN HIS PRESENCE, IN THE WATERFALL the next stage begins and everything changes radically. for now it is about learning to live intimately with God. We move into a new relationship with each person of the Trinity and the process of restoration and renewal, which began when we gave our life to Christ, can now be speeded up.
Creatively, God transforms the pain of the past into His resources for ministry. When we are ready, sufficiently healed and restored. In God’s time He will launch us into our full ministry which, because we have learnt to operate under His direction, will be effective in Kingdom terms.

We are going to explore the emotional pain that distorts the created image we were born to be, so that we can be aware of what is going on within us and co-operate with the Holy Spirit in our healing.
WHY DO WE HAVE PAIN? We were created to live in the Waterfall of God’s love, nourished and sustained by having our love tanks filled to overflowing through our relationship with the Father. In the fallen world full love tanks do not happened. We all carry some degree of emotional pain, that drives us, often without us being aware of its presence. Understanding where it comes from and how it develops allows us to co-operate with the Holy Spirit in His ministry of healing.

Living in the Waterfall - Identity
In this Episode we see that we were born to draw our sense of identity from what God says about us, as we stand in the certainty of being absolutely loved. This was lost to us in the Fall, as we replaced the love of the Father with all manner of idols in an effort to feel love and belonging , value and worth , meaning and purpose.
The most important change in our life occurs when we are restored by the ministry of the Holy Spirit, to understand the sacrifice Jesus made to restore us to be the people we were created to be, heirs in the family of God. You are who God says you are.

In this Episode: Before the Fall, Adam and Eve had a secure foundation, a secure home, a place of love, belonging and connection, their experience was of having all their needs fully satisfied within their trusting relationship with the Father. They knew who they were and whose they were.
Disobedience led to spiritual death and the fracture of the relationship between the Father and His children. Adam and Eve had now to survive cut off from their source of love. Moreover, they had eaten the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil now they thought they knew best.
The consequences of living in the fallen world, outside the environment in which we were born to thrive, mean that we all suffer emotional damage, which underpins the way we experience life.

In this Episode: Through the Fall sin has come into the world and has broken the harmony of relationships between the Father and His children. The consequences lead to the banishment of Adam and Eve from the presence of the Father and the distortion of their God-given image. Cut off from the place where they were created to dwell, trying to survive and striving to get their needs met, sin is rampant. The atonement for sin was blood sacrifice.
God's rescue plan for His children was drastic and costly. The Father was giving His son as the once and for all time sacrifice, so that we, His children could return to live in His presence, free from the burden of sin. The divine exchange at the Cross means that we can now abide in the Father's presence, live in the fullness of all Jesus died to give us and fulfill our God-given destiny for the Kingdom.

It makes how we travel with Him and how we approach each day of our lives important in Kingdom terms.

WHERE ARE YOU IN YOUR WALK WITH GOD?
Do you feel there should be more to life than you are presently experiencing? Do you feel fearful? Empty? Hopeless as you look out at the world around us?
Never has God needed His children of light more - do you know His daily leading? Are you aware of the urgency of being willing to travel His path, knowing who you are and your destiny in Him?
God is alive and calling you to come home so that you may take your place at His side, in intimate relationship with the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. There to be transformed from the brokenness of the fallen world to the image God created you to be and fulfilling your destiny for the heavenly kingdom.
BUT HOW ? For thirty years in response to the Holy Spirit's leading this ministry has been changing lives. It is living Christianity from God's perspective. He is offering the practical steps that will open up the way to intimacy, healing, wholeness and beyond. So that you can stand in authority, confident in who you are , knowing the voice of God as He works out His plans and purposes through your life.
Are you willing? There are costs to discipleship but what an adventure, to travel in company with the living God. To join God in His story. To see life through His perspectives.
WHAT TO EXPECT?

TWFJ Essentials 12. Saved to serve
We are created for purpose. There used to be a tagline in an evangelical circles ‘saved to serve’. God, in his great love, calls us into His story for relationship and he has chosen to use us and to need us for His purposes. Journeying, as we have discovered in the Waterfall Journey towards healing and wholeness is necessary, so that we can then be fully effective and utilised in the service of God. Initially on our journey we may be inward looking as we find our feet and our faith. However, from the beginning God will always be looking and providing opportunities for us to serve others. The journey is not just for ourselves but for those we travel with. As the community encounters new landscapes we learn from one another and our growth then feeds our individual and corporate ministries. If we follow Jesus He will bring us to a place where we will reap the harvest for Him in both areas.

Conversation between God and His children takes many forms. Relationships need many creative forms of communication to become rich and deep. First and foremost, the relationship is one of love and love opens the heart to receive from a vast variety of pallets, the essence and the certainty of the bond. Also we have learnt in the Waterfall Journey that God would heal us, grow us and use us in His plans and purposes. For us to work for Him we need to know His heart and the precise part He wants us to play in the outcome. The truth is, that God is endlessly creative in the ways that He can share His heart with us, when we believe that is His object.
So how can we understand what is on His heart. The first and the most obvious way is to ask.

How can I be sure I hear from God? It is the big question that I hear time and time again. The truth is we can know what God is saying to us. Indeed we are going to explore why it is critical for his purposes that we do hear what is on The Father’s heart. We have seen on our Waterfall Journey that our God needs us to know his voice so that he can heal us, train us equip us and lead us into being effective workers in the kingdom. The church will one day be the battle-ready army of the Lord. An army must be trained, must have effective and well understood communication or disaster will follow.

As an individual how do people experience you? Our behaviour is driven by our woundedness and that is why we are all in need of regeneration to be a new creation, to be reborn in the likeness of Christ. We have been discussing the importance of how we do a thing, for it is this that makes the lasting impression of who we are.
The skill that we need is awareness. In this podcast we think about self-awareness, world awareness, and spiritual awareness. As we hone our discernment, we can intentionally become more like Jesus.

TWFJ ESSENTIALS - 7. TRUST and FAITHWe have learnt in the Waterfall Journey that God has a story and he has invited us to bring our story into his. He has plans and purposes and we have a part to play in them. As we abide in the presence of the Father he wants us to trust him absolutely but it is a two way street. He also wants to trust us with our part in his story and to trust us with how we will accomplish that calling.
WE are choosing beings. We can choose what or who we put our trust in. Trust is the decision and the action of taking a risk in the another person or thing. Faith then builds as the thing we have chosen proves trustworthy and we reaps the surety, safety and confidence of finding the truth in action.

The Waterfall Journey is the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We were born to be supernatural, created in the image of God who is spirit. In the Fall we lost our place to abide in the presence of the Father and the flow of the Spirit. Cut off, with our feet in clay we reverted to being natural man, unrefined by the spirit. The broken relationships and the power of the ego led us to become self-centred and self serving. We are damaged goods, our image and capabilities distorted. We are all in need of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. He is the power which will enable the disciples and Church to be the the Army and the Bride and the witnesses, testifying to Jesus on the Earth. Acts 1:8“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the Earth”

THE WORDS OF JESUS DESCRIBING THE HOLY SPIRIT AND HIS MINISTRY
John 1:32-34 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.”
John 3:1-8 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
“How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
JESUS MAKES CLEAR THE HOLY SPIRIT IS AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE.
LUKE 11:9-13 So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Welcome to the third podcast - essentials for travellers who undertake the waterfall journey. In this episode we’re going to look at judgement and grace. This will help us position ourselves to live out of God’s kingdom whilst still on Earth.
After the fall when sin entered the world the Spiritual battle between man the devil and God was enjoined. Judgement was the plumbline of God’s truth between good and evil. A framework of justice was needed and the law was given to Moses and the Israelites to mould them into a nation chosen by God as his own.
Grace means undeserved favour. It was the Cross that opened up for us freedom from sin’s burden and the new covenant relationship with the father, where the law was written on the heart.

Jesus said 'Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks'. Matthew 12:34. We cannot help leaking what is going on inside us. The truth is we all need heart surgery so that we speak Jesus into the hurting world.

TOOL 9. - SEE THE PATTERN. Co-operate in healing
Born into the Fallen world we all need healing and for our distorted images to be transformed into the likeness of Christ. DISCIPLESHIP demands that we let God transform our base selves Into His unique, divine plan of who we are in Him but we must let the Holy Spirit go at His speed, in His way. Only the Counsellor can do the scale of work needed to prepare God’s people to be the Army, ready for battle and to be the spotless Bride, ready for Christ’s return.
In this area of your personal healing as you walk towards wholeness the Holy Spirit will have unique ways of travelling with you. He has your unique healing and equipping programme before Him. Be aware of the way He brings you lessons and episodes of healing. There are patterns to the way He will lead you so that you may more readily co-operate with Him as you journey.

CHOOSE TO BE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE
By making a decision to live in the Waterfall, the place God intended for us to dwell, we enter a new phase of our relationship with Him. TWFJ WB STUDY 12. FORGIVENESS
Whilst we have been working on our spider diagram in order to understand more completely our own story we may well have uncovered unforgiveness in our lives. Forgiveness, both the capacity to be forgiven and the ability to forgive are outcomes of the Cross we need to embrace everyday of our lives.
Therefore, the 6th TOOL to assist in our transformation is to understand the process of FORGIVENESS.
We all need forgiveness. We were born to live free from the burden of sin and unforgiveness, which squash the divine shape we were born to fill and but for the sacrifice of Jesus would block us from the presence of the Father. His blood is available to us that we might be washed and be clean and stand, clothed in His righteousness before the Father. The blood of Jesus sets us free as we seek to forgive and be forgiven.

The fallen world is a bruising place to live. It has always been characterised by broken relationships, greed and selfish needs. the consequences affect us all and mean that we are all in need of the ministry of the Holy Spirit to transform us into the likeness of Christ. Being aware of our inner stories and being able to co-operate with the Holy Spirit on the journey to wholeness and holiness makes discipleship a joint walk with God.
In the last two podcasts we have been exploring the spider diagram as a tool to help us understand what goes on inside us when we experience difficulties in our lives. It allows us to open up and deconstruct an event that has or is causing us trouble, and to examine the feelings, the thinking and the choices for our behaviour that have flowed into our life from it.
Having completed the diagram we said the most important thing was then to sit with the Holy Spirit and to let Him reveal to you what He sees within. Give Him the time and space to speak to you. Allow yourself to feel the feelings that arise in you but ultimately what we are seeking from the revelation is what is the biggest lie you have believed about yourself that has been revealed. A lie is any thought that does not align with what God says about you.
Be heartened for what it says in the Bible is that it is by the renewing of your mind that you are set free and freedom beckons as we now turn to the 4th tool a 6 step process to renew the mind and deal with the lies.

TWFJ Workbook Study 10. Spider Diagram – Thinking and Choices
Living in the Waterfall we stand on a firm foundation, we are abiding in the presence of the Father, as Jesus did. Our pressing need for love and belonging, value and worth, meaning and purpose are being met through our relationship with the Father. Outside the Waterfall in our fallen state we must survive, all our behaviour drives us to get our selfish needs met where we can. Broken relationships and lack of love lead to emotional damage which we all suffer from and leads to emptiness and thirsts within us.
We have drawn a spider diagram on an A4 sheet of paper and we have written the event that the Holy Spirit has highlighted into the central circle. Then we filled in the first layer round the centre circle with the feelings that we had experienced both at the time and as a consequence of the event.
Now we explore our belief system what we have picked up about ourselves from the experience. Essentially, we're looking at how this event impacted the narrative of our story, by influencing how we think about ourselves, in relation to others and life. What do I believe about myself from my experience of this happening to me?
Then we consider the impact of our thinking. When it comes to our experience of life and relationships we are making choices all day, everyday. What are we going to do? How are we going to react or respond to a situation?
Finally, we let the Holy Spirit speak into the Spider Diagram with His revelations.

TWFJ Workbook Study 9. Spider Diagram - Feelings
This tool can be used to understand major occurrences in our lives. and also to gain insights into our response to anything that concerns us NOW. The Spider diagram teaches us self-awareness and also creates significant milestones in our spiritual landscape. God uses it to change our lives: each Spider diagram you do will be significant.
First DRAW A SPIDER’S WEB On an A4 sheet of paper Draw a circle with 3 concentric circles rippling outward, broken by lines radiating from the outside of the centre circle.
This is what is going to happen at each STAGE OF THE SPIDER DIAGRAM

In the middle of the Spider Diagram you are going to write an event as the focus.

In the next inner ring you are going to record your feelings about the event.
- In the middle ring you are going to record what you believe about yourself as a result of the experience.
- In the outer ring you are going to record what choices and behaviours flowed from the event.
- Stage 5 is about spending time in reflection allowing the Holy Spirit to have His say on what you have uncovered.
We will go through this process now step by step beginning each stage by learning something about feelings, beliefs and choices that will illuminate what and how to fill in the Spider Diagram.
THE CENTRAL FOCUS
In the centre of the SD we put the matter that has caught our attention. The trigger may be an unexpected emotion, a disturbing event, an ongoing fear, the effect of a relationship, indeed anything that is occupying our thoughts negatively. It may be a small irritant or a life issue. By reflecting and recording our feelings, thinking and choices flowing from the concern we get an overview of the impact it is exerting on our lives. This allows the Holy Spirit to speak into what is revealed, helping us to understand the lies we have believed about ourselves, opening up choices for us to realign ourselves with God’s thinking and to be changed.

HOW DO WE BEGIN to understand our stories?
Our stories are very important to God (see Psalm 139) for when transformed, they will be a deep reservoir of blessing to be poured out for Kingdom purposes ‘for it is with the comfort we receive that we will comfort others’.
Life in the fallen world is a bruising affair and our stories may not feel like a blessing at the moment, for they have been lived out in hazardous circumstances. Consequently, our images have become distorted by sin, anger, fear and shame but this is why we all need God’ s intervention, to accept the Cross and accept the Holy Spirit’s ministry. God has trusted us with our stories and knows when and how to transform the pain and set us free.
There are many ways to help the process of healing but when they are led by God, recovery is sustained and with timing that is significant. It is good to remind ourselves at this stage that God values our stories so much that Jesus died for us to be able to bring them before the throne of the Father, and actively and meaningfully into God’s story. More The Father wants us home basking in His absolute love.

As we have learned previously. To begin, I can declare the Waterfall is where I want to live my life. I can repent of when I have acted as God in my life. I can come through the Cross of Jesus Christ into the Father’s presence. There, I can choose to trust Him for every area of my life. TRUST IS DECISION NOT A FEELING.
It may help to visualise putting your bucket down the well, then in repentance (which means a change of direction) discarding it, stepping through the Cross and lifting your arms to receive the water of life as the torrent of love from the Father’s heart and the flow of the Spirit connect you to the mind of God.
The Waterfall is only ever a step away. Repeat the process whenever you are aware that you are driving your life and give the control back to God. To begin with, you will find you grab back control and need to repent many times a day. This is because you have had to survive in the fallen world and you are used to manipulating the world to be safe or for your advantage to fulfil your own agenda. Gradually, you will recognise the difference of being in God’s presence or out of it.

Before the Fall, Adam and Eve had a definable place, a
secure foundation, an experience of having all their needs fully satisfied in relationship with Father God. In that place, in the Waterfall of God’s love they were filled by Him to overflowing, allowing them to have full and satisfying relationships with each other. The vertical relationship with the Father was the key to deep and perfect harmony between human beings.
However, out of that environment we were created to inhabit, with trust broken and in the throes of spiritual death, caused by isolation from the Father, the image we were created to be, became distorted.
God had created Adam and Eve with His characteristic other-centredness but after the Fall we became driven by our own needs and survival. ‘I’ became god. Anyone today reflecting on their own brokenness, or the state of society will be able to see a littered trail of broken relationships and selfish behaviours.
God makes us aware of our need for healing by bringing the pain of our inner story to the surface through memories and circumstances, past and present. We can be pleased when this happens for what God starts He finishes and the Holy Spirit is highlighting in our pain ‘Here is something I want to heal.’
Years of journeying have shown that not everyone is willing to let God deal with their pain: it is both part of the blessing and the cost of discipleship. Facing the pain of our inadequacies and wounds, being open to healing and letting go of the past we can reach out to the freedom and wholeness that Jesus died to give us.
Each person has a unique journey to wholeness and to recovering their true identity.
We are who God says we are - we are not to be defined by our inner pain.

The Waterfall, is the picture of Life in the Garden. It is the place where we were created to live, abiding in the presence of the Father, in the flow of the Holy Spirit. It is the River of Water of Life that flows from the throne of the Father and where it flows, it brings life. It is the wellspring of living water that Jesus speaks of in John 4 that eradicates all thirst.
In this place, the rock we stand on is the certainty of knowing that we are absolutely loved and that we belong, that we are home; that we are valued for who we are and have worth in the eyes of the Father; and that life has meaning and purpose for there are unique things our God would have us do for Him. We were created to have our inner being filled with these certainties. It is a place of knowing our God and knowing our identity in Him.
Adam and Eve enjoyed Waterfall living. They had all this in their relationship with the Father.
So how did the Fall happen?

THIS STUDY explores the relationship that God intended to have with His children, where all that was needed for sustaining life in abundance flowed from the Father; where life and relationships were complete in an overflow of love, where identity was secure.
The key thought is ‘I know whose I am.’ The authority of Jesus flowed out of this, knowing who He was, what He came for and in whose strength He was doing it, plus He abided in the knowledge of the absolute love of the Father. Things make sense when we have the same perspective. Understanding the significance of place is a revelation, when we abide in the WATERFALL - it is a place. Within its defined borders, we are who God says we are, we are connected, we are back in Spirit-to-spirit communication with the Father, just like Jesus was.
In the Waterfall, we are designed to live out of knowing absolute love and belonging, value and worth, meaning and purpose and only here, in relationship with the Father are we home. Our love tanks can be full. Peoples’ experience may be far from this but transforming our inner stories is God’s heart. In this second assignment, beginning to looking at the Biblical foundation will help us see the big picture of God’s continuous story. Love is the reason there is a story, for the essence of love is that it must be shared and it is love that fuels the heart of God.
In this story, as with all good stories there is a framework that holds it together - a captivating beginning, plots and subplots, jeopardy and redemption all moving with purpose towards the climax. Without this understanding of connectedness and drive much of the Bible may seem to be random episodes with little meaning. Looking at the overview gives us both context and a new perspective.

TWFJ Series 3 THE BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS WORKBOOK 1. SETTING OUT
In Series 3 of these podcasts we are going to share THE WATERFALL JOURNEY interactive Workbooks 1& 2 The Biblical foundations and The tools of Transformation. There is work to be undertaken, as only by engaging fully in the suggested tasks will the full benefit be gained. However, it is the Holy Spirit who will accompany you on this journey and I can promise you a spiritual adventure.
The Waterfall Journey: A Manual of Biblical Discipleship offers an expanded and practical resource and will be available on Amazon from the end of Dec 2022.
We are created for purpose. There used to be a tagline in an evangelical circles ‘saved to serve’. God, in his great love, calls us into His story for relationship and he has chosen to use us and to need us for His purposes. Journeying, as we have discovered in the Waterfall Journey towards healing and wholeness is necessary, so that we can then be fully effective and utilised in the service of God. Initially on our journey we may be inward looking as we find our feet and our faith. However, from the beginning God will always be looking and providing opportunities for us to serve others. The journey is not just for ourselves but for those we travel with. As the community encounters new landscapes we learn from one another and our growth then feeds our individual and corporate ministries. If we follow Jesus He will bring us to a place where we will reap the harvest for Him in both areas.
Conversation between God and His children takes many forms. Relationships need many creative forms of communication to become rich and deep. First and foremost, the relationship is one of love and love opens the heart to receive from a vast variety of pallets, the essence and the certainty of the bond. Also we have learnt in the Waterfall Journey that God would heal us, grow us and use us in His plans and purposes. For us to work for Him we need to know His heart and the precise part He wants us to play in the outcome. The truth is, that God is endlessly creative in the ways that He can share His heart with us, when we believe that is His object.
So how can we understand what is on His heart. The first and the most obvious way is to ask.
How can I be sure I hear from God?It is the big question that I hear time and time again. The truth is we can know what God is saying to us. Indeed we are going to explore why it is critical for his purposes that we do hear what is on The Father’s heart. We have seen on our Waterfall Journey that our God needs us to know his voice so that he can heal us, train us equip us and lead us into being effective workers in the kingdom. The church will one day be the battle-ready army of the Lord. An army must be trained, must have effective and well understood communication or disaster will follow.
As an individual how do people experience you? Our behaviour is driven by our woundedness and that is why we are all in need of regeneration to be a new creation, to be reborn in the likeness of Christ. We have been discussing the importance of how we do a thing, for it is this that makes the lasting impression of who we are.
The skill that we need is awareness. In this podcast we think about self-awareness, world awareness, and spiritual awareness. As we hone our discernment, we can intentionally become more like Jesus.
The Waterfall Journey is about accepting the invitation of the Father to bring our story into His and as the family of the living God, to learn how to live as Jesus lived, as we serve the purposes of God. In this and the next Episode we consider more of the ‘HOWs’ that makes this a reality.
We have learnt in the Waterfall Journey that God has a story and he has invited us to bring our story into his. He has plans and purposes and we have a part to play in them. As we abide in the presence of the Father he wants us to trust him absolutely but it is a two way street. He also wants to trust us with our part in his story and to trust us with how we will accomplish that calling.
WE are choosing beings. We can choose what or who we put our trust in. Trust is the decision and the action of taking a risk in the another person or thing. Faith then builds as the thing we have chosen proves trustworthy and we reaps the surety, safety and confidence of finding the truth in action.
The Waterfall Journey is all about God and His love.It is about His story and the amazing invitation we have not only to be trusted members of His family but to be used in His plans and purposes. Our stories have importance in Kingdom terms. The Waterfall Journey is God’s perspective on life and the ‘How do I live out being a disciple day by day?’. The Waterfall Journey is the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We were born to be supernatural, created in the image of God who is spirit. In the Fall we lost our place to abide in the presence of the Father and the flow of the Spirit. Cut off, with our feet in clay we reverted to being natural man, unrefined by the spirit. The broken relationships and the power of the ego led us to become self-centred and self serving. We are damaged goods, our image and capabilities distorted. We are all in need of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. He is the power which will enable the disciples and Church to be the the Army and the Bride and the witnesses, testifying to Jesus on the Earth. Acts 1:8“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the Earth”
SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!!! Mainly from the Gospel of St. John Jesus speaks of the person and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Meditate on these words for it is Jesus who speaks to us expecting us to hold His words as truth to be believed.
Welcome to the third podcast - essentials for travellers who undertake the waterfall journey. In this episode we’re going to look at judgement and grace. This will help us position ourselves to live out of God’s kingdom whilst still on Earth.
After the fall when sin entered the world the Spiritual battle between man the devil and God was enjoined. Judgement was the plumbline of God’s truth between good and evil. A framework of justice was needed and the law was given to Moses and the Israelites to mould them into a nation chosen by God as his own.
Grace means undeserved favour. It was the Cross that opened up for us freedom from sin’s burden and the new covenant relationship with the father, where the law was written on the heart.

In SEASON 2 we are exploring THE ESSENTIALS of that walk.
The second essential is AUTHENTICITY. Jesus was authentic, He was the 'real thing'. There was a congruence between Jesus on the inside and how He was on the outside. Jesus said 'Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks'. Matthew 12:34. We cannot help leaking what is going on inside us. The truth is we all need heart surgery so that we speak Jesus into the hurting world.

When we know OUR TRUE IDENTITY - whose we are, who we are and how we fit in to God's story our whole perspective changes and we move into the high calling that God has for each of us.

IN THIS EPISODE WE are going to explore the practical steps to forgive. Jesus made it a command in the Lord’s Prayer that we should forgive others that we might be forgiven. This is because Jesus went to the Cross for us to be free of the crushing burden of sin and unforgiveness. We are going to look at forgiving ourselves and forgiving others. Partly, our woundedness skews our vision of the world and partly our inner story dictates our responses to life and until we have inner healing we tend to react to circumstances. Forgiveness is oil that makes relationships work.

In this episode we are going to draw together the threads of our story, by reflecting on the Spider Diagram with the HOLY SPIRIT. Transformation happens when we make inner changes to the way we perceive and live our lives.
The tools we have looked at in the last 2 episodes – the timeline and the Spider Diagram help us, as the Holy Spirit opens up our understanding in the specific area He wants to bring to our attention. So that we can see and understand what has been going on for us, realise why we have been going to the cistern, recognise the beliefs that drove us there and understand the consequences to our lives. Then we can choose to make Godly changes.
In the previous episode we began to see how to use a Spider Diagram in co-operation with the Holy Spirit in order to understand our story. In this episode we continue the process of bringing inner healing and freedom by looking at the completion of the diagram filling in the thinking and choices that arise from the issue that is concerning us.
Ultimately what we are seeking to find from the Spider Diagram is ‘What is the biggest lie we have believed about ourselves?’
It is this thinking that is the engine which drives our choices and behaviours and then interprets our experience.
In this episode we explore how to use a SPIDER DIAGRAM with the help of the Holy Spirit, to continue the process of bringing inner healing and freedom to our story. THE SD Can be used to understand major occurrences in our lives and it also helps us gain insights into the way we respond to anything that concerns us in the here and NOW. The Spider diagram teaches us self-awareness and creates an understanding how we experience life in our inner world. It is a tool of the Holy Spirit and He uses it to transform us. You will find that each one you do, will be significant.
IN ORDER TO CO-OPERATE FULLY IN OUR HEALING IT HELPS TO KNOW
HOW WE WERE DESIGNED TO FUNCTION IN SPIRIT-TO-SPIRIT HARMONY WITH OUR FATHER.
However, as a result of the Fall there was a fundamental shift. The design of mankind was literally turned on its head. Self and worldly considerations came to the surface and the spiritual life of man became sidelined and shrunk.
In a world of fractured relationships each individual was driven to get their own needs met.
Physical living became pressing and insistent in its perceived urgency. Experiences, greed and selfishness meant that beliefs, feelings and choices were very far from godly and thus the spiritual life was squeezed to insignificance as man played God. Here is the death the Father spoke of in Genesis. Cut off from the waterfall of life this is all about need, emptiness and pain.
TWFJ EXTRA - meet Ivan from Serbia whom I have known for over twenty years and is the first of some champions of the Waterfall Journey who I will introduce you to as we journey onward.
I met Ivan and his wife Zorica in 2003 having been asked by David and Rosemary to accompany them to Serbia to share a People Helpers' Course which was the forerunner of the Waterfall Journey. We will meet David and Rosemary in another podcast.
Since 2003 Ivan and I have collaborated over many things - we enjoyed sharing the Waterfall with groups, he interpreting and translating material - including the book of TWFJ published in 2015. It was in Ivan's radio station built in his garage and with his expertise that the audio of the book was produced in 2016. Now it is Ivan that makes the podcasts possible and will also broadcast them via his radio station Radio Hrast in Serbian world-wide.
We still all meet up with our Serbian family and friends each week on zoom for fellowship and spiritual food.
If we make a decision to trust God and live as He intended IN HIS PRESENCE, IN THE WATERFALL the next stage begins and everything changes radically. for now it is about learning to live intimately with God. We move into a new relationship with each person of the Trinity and the process of restoration and renewal, which began when we gave our life to Christ, can now be speeded up.
Creatively, God transforms the pain of the past into His resources for ministry. When we are ready, sufficiently healed and restored. In God’s time He will launch us into our full ministry which, because we have learnt to operate under His direction, will be effective in Kingdom terms.
We are going to explore the emotional pain that distorts the created image we were born to be, so that we can be aware of what is going on within us and co-operate with the Holy Spirit in our healing.
WHY DO WE HAVE PAIN?We were created to live in the Waterfall of God’s love, nourished and sustained by having our love tanks filled to overflowing through our relationship with the Father. In the fallen world full love tanks do not happened. We all carry some degree of emotional pain, that drives us, often without us being aware of its presence. Understanding where it comes from and how it develops allows us to co-operate with the Holy Spirit in His ministry of healing.

The Waterfall is a place of REST and PEACE and we can see evidence of our progress in living out these, by comparing our behaviour with our role model, Jesus.To walk as Jesus walked we must do so from a place of REST
In this Episode we see that we were born to draw our sense of identity from what God says about us, as we stand in the certainty of being absolutely loved. This was lost to us in the Fall, as we replaced the love of the Father with all manner of idols in an effort to feel love and belonging , value and worth , meaning and purpose.
The most important change in our life occurs when we are restored by the ministry of the Holy Spirit, to understand the sacrifice Jesus made to restore us to be the people we were created to be, heirs in the family of God. You are who God says you are.

In this Episode: Before the Fall, Adam and Eve had a secure foundation, a secure home, a place of love, belonging and connection, their experience was of having all their needs fully satisfied within their trusting relationship with the Father. They knew who they were and whose they were.
Disobedience led to spiritual death and the fracture of the relationship between the Father and His children. Adam and Eve had now to survive cut off from their source of love. Moreover, they had eaten the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil now they thought they knew best.
The consequences of living in the fallen world, outside the environment in which we were born to thrive, mean that we all suffer emotional damage, which underpins the way we experience life.

In this Episode: Through the Fall sin has come into the world and has broken the harmony of relationships between the Father and His children. The consequences lead to the banishment of Adam and Eve from the presence of the Father and the distortion of their God-given image. Cut off from the place where they were created to dwell, trying to survive and striving to get their needs met, sin is rampant. The atonement for sin was blood sacrifice.
God's rescue plan for His children was drastic and costly. The Father was giving His son as the once and for all time sacrifice, so that we, His children could return to live in His presence, free from the burden of sin. The divine exchange at the Cross means that we can now abide in the Father's presence, live in the fullness of all Jesus died to give us and fulfill our God-given destiny for the Kingdom.

The discovery that our stories matter to God, indeed that His story cannot be fulfilled without us because He chooses that to be so, is revealing. It makes how we travel with Him and how we approach each day of our lives important in Kingdom terms.

Never has God needed His children of light more - do you know His daily leading? Are you aware of the urgency of being willing to travel His path, knowing who you are and your destiny in Him?
God is alive and calling you to come home so that you may take your place at His side, in intimate relationship with the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. There to be transformed from the brokenness of the fallen world to the image God created you to be and fulfilling your destiny for the heavenly kingdom.
BUT HOW ? For thirty years in response to the Holy Spirit's leading this ministry has been changing lives. It is living Christianity from God's perspective. He is offering the practical steps that will open up the way to intimacy, healing, wholeness and beyond. So that you can stand in authority, confident in who you are , knowing the voice of God as He works out His plans and purposes through your life.
Are you willing? There are costs to discipleship but what an adventure, to travel in company with the living God. To join God in His story. To see life through His perspectives.

This ministry is all about the Father's heart , how you can live now in the deluge of His love; it is about living in the fulness of all Jesus died to restore to us by His death on the Cross and it is about being able to co-operate with the Holy Spirit, as He leads our transformation and growth.
