Allowing Our Voice To Be Heard is essential to our growth. Our voice bonds individuals together regardless of the words we speak. It conveys different emotions such as anger, joy, sadness and fear. In my experience, our voice is one of the first things we lose through trauma. Our voice is the agent we use to communicate with our family and the world to express our thoughts. We fear speaking, and why that might be the case is derived from being told as kids to be quiet, or we want to keep away from trouble, especially in relationships where our parents or partner is an abuser. At birth, babies experience the sound of their parent's voices; they can tell whether it is happy, sad or angry. In today's episode, my guest Valeria Elliott, better known as Ms V The Storyteller, will share with you her experience of what caused her to lose her voice at a young age and how she got her power back by reclaiming her voice. In this episode, you will hear laughter. Ms V The Storyteller's voice is one of the many human rights God gave her, and after so many years of not using the power of her voice Ms V, The Storyteller decided to use it to bring joy into our lives. Her story will invigorate you to use your voice to tell your story, for it is your God-given right to be able to communicate your thoughts and feelings and not be fearful.
