The gang is back from their month of April break with a packed dockett! (8:00) We start off this episode with a sober reflection on the life and death of Jordan Neely; unlawfully murdered by a US Marine while experiencing a mental health crisis on an NYC subway train. Unfortunately, moments like these are all too familiar, as Najee Seabrooks was also recently murdered by a public servant in March of 2023, while suffering a mental health crisis. (23:05) Moving from the tragedy, the pod next highlights the Protect AFAM Movement currently taking place at Seton Hall University. Towards the end of the 2023 Spring semester, Seton Hall students staged a protest and occupied President's Hall, with the goal of securing proper qualified professors to head the Africana Studies Department, which has been under attack for much of the past 10 years at SHU.Finally we get to the fun(ish) topics! (42:07) Like did CB actually have an altercation with Urshh??? Is TMZ lying to the public, or is this the greatest PR coverup story we've ever seen!?!? Either way, we get to our final topic of the episode: Living above your pretty privilege. Truth is, we all have some sort of aesthetic or beauty trait that allows us to influence others. The questions we're asking are: Do you place a cap on how what you can use that privilege for? Do you try to utilize your privilege in specific places? & Have you ever lived above the means of your pretty privilege?3:10 - How did Maur come up with the handle @Wishingitwasme8:00 - Jordan Neely murdered in an NYC subway by a US Marine. 23:05 - Seton Hall University Protect AFAM movement. 42:07 - Did CB really put skates on Usher in Vegas?47:52 - CB vs Teyana Taylor????? 49:52 - Topic: Pushing your pretty privilege!57:48 - Living above your pretty privilege means!!!1:01:30 - Love is Blind Brief Recap.#WhoaChillWednesday #WoahChill #WoahChillPod
