What does it really take to build a successful product-based business with family—and grow it without losing sight of why you started?
In this episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, I’m joined by Sara and Vinnie Cann, the mother-daughter co-founders of Birdie’s Batch, a family-run food business built around locally sourced ingredients, seasonal products, family recipes, and a whole lot of heart.
Sara and Vinnie started Birdie’s Batch in 2020 after Sara was laid off from her career in the restaurant industry. What began as an opportunity to sell homemade products at local farmers markets grew into a loyal community, an online business, award-winning marmalades, and national recognition—including a feature in The New York Times that increased their sales by 264%.
But what I especially loved about this conversation is that their story isn't simply about growing a business. It's about figuring out what kind of business—and life—you actually want to build.
