Halloween, properly known as All Hallows Eve is the night before All Saints Day. It has nothing to do with ghoulish beings, macabre deaths, weird costumes or trick and treating. It was a celebration of the lives of Christian saints, ordinary people who lived faithful and virtuous lives, serving God as they felt he was calling or leading them to do. We can learn from the lives of those who have passed on.
