Several violent racist attacks have been reported in the media. Racism, and other forms of discrimination, are as old as humanity. Jesus didn’t simply make speeches against such things, he modelled acceptance of everyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, nationality, disability, values and beliefs. It’s a lesson for our contemporary world, not simply to speak and march against discrimination, but to live it every day in our relationships with others.
