There are strikes and threats of strike action as workers in Australia and elsewhere seek increased wages to compensate for the higher cost of living due to Covid and the invasion of Ukraine. People withdraw their labour when they feel their work is insufficiently valued. Some people take the same approach with God, withdrawing their labour when God doesn't seem to be providing them with what they think they deserve.  But, as Phil explains, God is not our personal genie, on standby until we decide we need him.
