The sun is a permanent in our lives.  It cannot be stopped.  Yet, for a brief moment in time at a particular spot on the earth, at 11.30 am on a clear day, the sun was obliterated, eclipsed by the moon.  We are reminded that Jesus was called The Light of the World, and John writes: The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has never put it out.
