Have you been thinking you need a website?

This episode shares my expertise around what I need before I start creating a website for a client.

These pieces of the puzzle will ensure you create a kickass website whether you DIY or you employ someone to do it for you.

Before you begin -

1 - You need a brand - brand guidelines

  • colour palette
  • Fonts
  • Logo
  • Graphics

2 - A sketched out homepage wireframe of the sections you want and how the menu will look.

3 - The words for your website and where they will go - this is known as website copy.
I talk about Marion Piper and her Write Words Workshop.

3 - You will need amazing photos of you doing your thing, your products and behind the scenes. I have a DIY shoot course that can help you with this or book a photographer you really gel with to do your photos,

4 - You will need clear service offerings - I believe in having your prices on your website.

If you need help with this - check out Brand Builders Accademy - Suz Chadwick

5 - SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) strategy - so people will find you on the internet.
I talk about Karlie Plowman from TechnoBird and Remi Audette from Sunday Best.

I work on Squarespace website for Service based business and Shopify for business's that sell products online.

With Shopify you will need your product descriptions, inventory and price in a spreadsheet to upload to the site.

This is a short episode to share my knowledge around where to start! I hope you find it helpful!
