This episode explores what a personal brand is and why we all have one regardless of what we think.

My definition is "A personal brand is how people talk about us when we are not in the room."

These are my 4 tips to improve your personal brand consistency.

  1. If you haven't met someone before introduce yourself with your full name
  2. If your interacting in Facebook groups make sure your facebook name is the same name as you interact with in business and in life, how you would introduce yourself in real life
  3. Make sure your profile picture is a photo of you looking at the camera, taken in natural light. It is so important that the photo looks like you and doesn't confuse people.
  4. If you are interacting in Facebook groups ensure your bio has your website and what you do, make it easy for people to remember you and what you do.
  5. Making sure everything is consistent across the platforms Linkedin / Instagram / facebook
  6. If you have a business - make sure you have a good about page. Tell me about what you have done and where you have come from.
