From 1987 through 1994 Timeless Voyager Radio was broadcast over 250 radio stations world-wide in most top 50 radio markets in the US, Canada, and Short-Wave world-wide. Bruce Stephen Holms, host started the program on KCSB 91.9 from UCSB in Santa Barbara, CA.

Launched on a college station in 1987, by 1990 Timeless Voyager Radio was carried over satellite and distributed to commercial stations in the US.

In 1990 Timeless Voyager Radio was contacted by Barry Befell who had study groups that met and discussed the URANTIA book. Bruce Stephen Holms took on the task of interviewing Bedell and allowing him to explain the concepts in the book. The exact circumstances of the origin of The Urantia Book are unknown. The book and its publishers do not name a human author. Instead, it is written as if directly presented by numerous celestial beings appointed to the task of providing an "epochal" religious revelation. As early as 1911, William S. Sadler and his wife Lena Sadler, physicians in Chicago and well known in the community, are said to have been approached by a neighbor who was concerned because she would occasionally find her husband in a deep sleep and breathing abnormally. She reported that she was unable to wake him at these times. The Sadlers came to observe the episodes, and over time, the individual produced verbal communications that claimed to be a "student visitor" from spiritual beings.
This changed sometime in early 1925 with a "voluminous handwritten document," which from then on became the regular method of purported communication. The individual was never identified publicly but has been described as "a hard-boiled business man, member of the board of trade and stock exchange."

In 1990 Bruce Stephen Holms, host of Timeless Voyager Radio interviewed Mike Love (of The Beach Boys) at his home in Santa Barbara, CA on the Mesa overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The sound quality wasn’t the best due to the sounds of the ocean interfering with the microphones, however the reason for the interview was that Mike wanted to talk to Bruce about the other part of his life. He wanted to talk about how Maharishi Mahesh Yogi literally changed his life and he knew that Holms could be trusted to keep the interview focussed on that topic. In late 1967, Love became one of the many rock musicians who discovered the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi following the Beatles' public endorsement of his Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique in August 1967. In December, Love and his bandmates attended a lecture by the Maharishi at a UNICEF Variety Gala in Paris, and were moved by the simplicity and effectiveness of his meditation process as a means to obtaining inner peace.
In January 1968, the Beach Boys attended the Maharishi's public appearances in New York and Cambridge, Massachusetts, after which he invited Love to join the Beatles at his training seminar in Rishikesh in northern India. Love stayed there from February 28 to March 15. He later recalled helping Paul McCartney with the lyrics of "Back in the U.S.S.R.", recorded for the Beatles' White Album. Recorded at the Whole Life Expo San Diego, CA 1990 — Timeless Voyager Radio interview with John Lee, best selling author, life coach, and one of the pioneers of the men’s movement. He has been featured on Oprah, 20/20, Barbara Walter’s, The View, CNN, PBS, and NPR. He has been interviewed by Newsweek, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and dozens of other national and international magazines and radio talk shows. During the interview Bruce Stephen Holms quizzes Lee regarding the “Men’s Movement” and one of his books, “The Flying Boy: Healing the Wounded Man.” According to John Lee, men seem to have most of their anger management issues embedded in their relationship or lack of relationship with their father. Lee says, “Let’s look at depression and despair, happiness and joy, faith and hope. Understanding the differences is life changing. Over the last few years of my own personal loss, examining these themes taught me to love in a way I never had before, a way based in loving people more than you need them.”
Lee explains how he uses many different approaches to correcting some of the emotional issues men have during the interview. Listeners have reported major break-throughs by just listening to this interview. Of course a 35 minute cannot correct a lifetime of issues but it can give the most hardened heart a chance to thaw just enough to be open to being helped.
On March 20, 1994, in a venue located in Santa Barbara, CA - a large gathering of Timeless Voyager Radio listeners came to hear to the popular New Age talk-radio host speak on the topic of "Life Eternal". During the live presentation, Bruce Stephen Holms explained how the concept of time as explained in the Bhagavad Gita over 5,000 years ago differed from our 20th century understanding of infinity. Once the audience was well established in the number of years, he began to show them how large this "Vedic" idea of the "span of time" was. He then surprised them with the realization that "infinity" wasn't at all a span of time -- but rather, a symbol that apparently didn't really have very much meaning at all -- except for mathematicians.

1990 Timeless Voyager Radio interview with Al Bielek and host, Bruce Stephen Holms discuss the infamous “Philadelphia Experiment” in great detail not available on most of his later interviews. Most people who are aware of the movie by the same name are not really cognizant of the REAL story. In this program Bruce questions Al regarding many of the details that are left out of most interviews. Just knowing that “invisibility” was completely successful in the first trial in 1939, it was decided to proceed with the next test — the 2nd ship was not only invisible but was optically invisible (or was in a parallel universe) for four hours.
When the ship returned it was full of lightning bolts, a strange haze, and sailors embedded in the steel. Al was no longer in 1943 but was catapulted to 1983. This is where the story gets to be really interesting to say the least. During the interview Bielek reveals information that is (or was) classified and may be declassified now -- or not!

1991 Timeless Voyager Radio interview with Clark Done explains Anthroposophy and the “Mystery Schools” to Bruce Stephen Holms while also alluding to the teachings of Rudolph Steiner. The word 'anthroposophy' comes from the Greek (anthropos meaning 'human' and sophia meaning 'wisdom'). It can also be translated as 'wisdom of the human being' or understood as 'consciousness of one's humanity'. Anthroposophy is a spiritual philosophy; not a religion. During the interview Clark talks in depth about the Waldorf schools and their ability to develop children in a method much different from education as it is practiced in the western world.

During the radio program Holms and Essene discuss her life changing experience while visiting the Sea of Galilee in Israel. It was here that she had a mystical experience which she believes to be the energies of Jesus. Circa 1993 interview with Nancy Cooke de Herrera, author, speaker, TM Teacher, and publicist for Maharishi Mahesh Yogi discusses her book, “Beyond” Gurus with Bruce Stephen Holms host, Timeless Voyager Radio. She worked as a publicist for Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1960s and traveled with him on a trip to South America and in 2003, published a follow-up book called, All You Need Is Love: An Eyewitness Account of When Spirituality Spread from the East to the West. 1990 interview with Pastor/UFOlogist, Dr. Frank E. Stranges explaining the misinterpretations of the biblical story of the “Star of Bethlehem”. He tells Bruce Stephen Holms, host of Timeless Voyager Radio that according to ancient books that he quotes from on the program, it was probably a craft that led the Magi and even King Herod to look for Jesus - not a star or the conjunction of planets - because it moved by day and by night. As the author tells it, some UFOs are gifts from God, angelic visitations sent to improve the lot of humankind. The Bible, he said, records many UFOs--if one is willing to interpret the Scriptures. In the Book of Ezekiel the prophet described a flying disc that came from the north ("a wheel within a wheel") and hovered over the land. The color was metallic, he said. And although some translations of the Bible describe the "eyes" of the apparition, a correct interpretation shows that Ezekiel likened these openings to "windows." This "wheel" was no mere vision, Dr. Stranges said. It was real. When the Jews fleeing Egypt roamed the desert for 40 years, a UFO described as a pillar of fire warmed the multitudes at night with its glow. "Above them was this giant pillar of fire ," Stranges said. "This was not a natural phenomenon, this huge spaceship God provided in the wilderness." NOTE: It is interesting to note that the program does not to intend to criticize the biblical account of this stellar event, but rather to confirm that with our knowledge of planets and stars today, the concept of an aircraft much like a UFO is highly plausible.

Bruce Stephen Holms enters into a very interesting dialog with Dr. Young consisting of many questions regarding his unique association with Joseph Campbell. During the interview there is a discussion of “myth”, mythic stories for therapists, psychology as a bridge between science and non-science, the healing arts, and clinical psychology. He assisted mythologist Joseph Campbell for several years at seminars. In addition to the Campbell archives, he organized the collections of psychologist James Hillman, and archeologist Marija Gimbutas. As a professor, Young created and chaired the Mythological Studies Department at the Pacifica Graduate Institute, working with Jungian theorists such as Robert Bly, Marion Woodman, Robert A. Johnson, Jean Houston, and Thomas Moore. In 1995, Dr. Young launched the Center for Story and Symbol in Santa Barbara, California to continue the work of Joseph Campbell. Through the center's programs, he presents seminars internationally on the uses of mythic stories for therapists, writers, clergy, and teachers.
