Does the Shoe Fit?You’ve been on my mind and in my heart. To the point where my intuitive radar has been buzzing and asking me to write this guidepost for you. I trust each reader will discern if you’re one of those I’m writing to today.
Can You Relate?There are all kinds of reasons why people might feel empty or unfulfilled. These range from mild dissatisfaction to a full-blown existential crisis.
If you find yourself wanting to feel less empty and more fulfilled, is it possible that you are trying to walk through a meaningful life using someone else’s shoe collection?
In a previous article on feeling unfulfilled, I explored many of the symptoms people experience when life drifts out of alignment.
Read it here: 11 Reasons You Are Feeling Unfulfilled (and What to Do About It)
However, this Guidepost explores the deeper architecture underneath why you might not be feeling fulfilled. Let’s take a quick assessment and see how you’re doing in the Fulfillment Department of your life.
How Fulfilled Are You?Be honest with yourself as you take this quick 5-question assessment. I designed it to help you understand where you currently stand.
For each statement, rate yourself:
5 = Almost Always
4 = Often
3 = Sometimes
2 = Rarely
1 = Almost Never
16–20: Generally FulfilledYou likely experience fulfillment in many areas of life, though there may be places where greater honesty, alignment, or intentionality would deepen your satisfaction.
11–15: At a CrossroadsYou may sense that something important is missing. Don’t think of it as something that is wrong. Think of it as acknowledgment that you may want to reevaluate a few aspects of your life-leadership. Would a free 20-minute call support you to take your next step? Sign up here.
5–10: Running on EmptyYou may be experiencing a significant disconnection from your values, needs, purpose, or authentic self. The good news is that awareness is the first step toward reclaiming fulfillment. Let’s schedule a free call to explore upping your game. Schedule your 20-minute Discovery Call here.
My Invitation to YouNow that you’ve taken the assessment and read your results, I’d like to invite you to sit with one final question:
What could you do to improve your score by five points?I want to be clear about what I’m not asking with this question. I’m not asking…
What would you need to achieve, or buy, or prove?
I am asking you to consider what you need to spend more time honoring.
I’m wondering what you could acknowledge that you’ve been ignoring?
Over the years, I’ve found that fulfillment tends to emerge when the Salt of our Soul is brought into alignment through both words AND actions.
When the deepest, most brilliant and truest parts of us work together, life becomes more of an expression filled with vibrancy and inner-confidence.
Final ThoughtBefore you run off to create another goal, another intention, or another plan, I hope this article has helped you pause, listen, reflect.
I hope you’ll ask yourself:
What is one change that would move me five points closer to a deeply fulfilling life?Then take one small step in that direction. And keep going. I’m here cheering you on.
