There are always lots of questions about hashtags. Do we need them? How many do we need? What if I do it wrong? Hashtags, like all of social media marketing aspects, are an experiment. 

So, how many hashtags should you use? That is a loaded question and here is why, it depends. It depends on which platform you are using and when you are listening to this! The algorithm changes and how to use hashtags continue to shift depending on the platform and how the algorithm is operating.

There is no right or wrong, but rather the desired based on information generally from the platform itself. Right now, at the time of this recording, the Head of Instagram states that between 4 and 8 are the perfect number.
