During his career, he lived in the Washington, D.C. metro area and also worked in San Diego, CA for 17+ years.  He met his husband in San Diego.  They have been together for 25 years and married since 2013.

They bought their home in Spain in January 2017.  He is a Spanish resident and lives here full-time.
