Like a business, having a mission statement sets you up to know where you are going as a couple and as a family. This is more than a cute Etsy quote your purchased to hang in your entry way. Today I discuss the 5 questions my husband I discussed this weekend while reading the book "Take Back Your Family" by Jefferson Bethke. The questions are: 

• what is different about our marriage?
• what other marriages do you really respect? why?
• what is important to our marriage?
• what kind of marriage do we want to have?
• if others talk about our marriage, what do we want to be known for?
