What happens when a human is liberated from repeated human births? There are levels of evolution above human being, about which one can only speculate a bit. Lets explore the possibilities, even if we cannot do any kind of evaluation here.

Reading about the teachings of Ranjit Maharaj with commentary. Death is an illusion. Ignorance brings fear of death, and odd, irrational behaviour. Those who know death, know life. How long can you postpone the understanding of who you are? Death is knocking on your door. It is never too late to know, and that is our purpose for assuming a perishable form.
Reading about the teachings of Ranjit Maharaj with commentary. He gives us the key to eternal happiness. He feels that a teacher is necessary to progress quickly, and a bit of faith is initially needed, but in the end the teacher merges in you and knowledge replaces faith.
Reading about the teachings of Ranjit Maharaj with commentary. Zero is absolute, the emptiness without qualities, the only reality. Minds and thoughts are merely appearances in it. When there is no mind, reality is.
Reading about the teachings of Ranjit Maharaj with commentary. He holds the view that the body, ego and the world, all are illusory, unreal. He then states the implications of this understanding. Once we see the illusions, we are freed from the illusions and ignorance. The Reality, the Self shines forth.
This is the audio version of a reading session livestreamed on my YouTube channel recently. It has been edited slightly and cleaned up. Ranjit Maharaj was a Guru brother of Nisargdatta Maharaj and so his teachings contain the same flavour. In this part we learn about his views on reality or zero and the relation between knowledge and ignorance.

Suppression is a time bomb. Desires control the mind. Mind is nothing but unceasing activity of desires. How to take back the control? What is the final cure for the anarchy of desires? In the concluding part of this series, we reveal it all.
Desires find a way. There can be supernatural ways. We explore them in this part. We find that it can be either a trap or a path to liberation.
There are three ways to manage desires. Satiation or fulfillment is the first and most popular way. We discuss here the consequences of desire fulfillment. We discover something very important.
Desires are the cause of actions. Quality of our life depends on how we act, which depends on what we desire. So their study is of a great significance. What are desires and how many kinds are there? Lets see them in the first part of this series on desire management.
What is my path? How to trust the inner knowledge? How to know its source? How to get in touch with the inner self? Why am I unhappy? Lets discuss these issues from a higher perspective.
What is the sure way to know? Can knowledge be obtained via evidences provided by others? What constitutes an evidence? Who should we believe? Answers to these important questions are very simple but are truly mind blowing.
After realizing that there is no doer, a question is often asked - what should I do now? How to live this life? What is an ideal action? etc. It is paradoxical, how can you act when you are not the actor? The answer is surprisingly simple. That is what we discuss here.
The world is an illusion. Not a plain boring illusion, it is a mad mad world. A mutually agreed upon insanity. Why do we insist that it is real? If not this which one is the real? Is there any experience which is more sane, more rational, less miserable?
Knowledge is just refined ignorance. A seeker gains knowledge, only to destroy it. Those who are bound to knowledge, do not progress much. Not knowing is of essence on the path of knowledge. This can be confusing and shocking, can seem paradoxical. Let us explore the truth, bliss and freedom that is not-knowing.
What is the proper way to get something done in our day today life? How to sail smoothly in the sea of society, which is largely based on ignorance? Do extraordinary phenomena or paranormal events, like telekinesis, really occur? How to explain them? We try to answer all these questions from a nondual perspective.
Human life is about balance. Imbalance is seen as suffering and dissatisfaction. But balance of what? Of the activity of various layers of the mind. These intricate, interdependent and dynamic parts of the whole human being, when functioning optimally in perfect balance, produce a perfect experience of this life. This is manifested as total happiness and freedom. Now, what causes imbalance and how to fix it?
Letting go of the concept of a separate individual, who is the doer of all actions, can be very challenging. And it seems difficult, because there is often misunderstanding, or probably one is easily lost in the jungle of techniques, traditions etc. When it happens, it is actually very natural, spontaneous, and is extremely blissful. One can conduct one's whole life in pure bliss of egolessness.
A Guru is much more than a person. The Guru field manifests through many things and events. We are all connected to the same one Guru field. It is right here, right now. All you need is a deep longing for knowledge and a strong intention, and you will receive. Lets say thank you to this Guru field.
In this concluding part of the series, we see the problem of spiritual progress and get a detailed summary of all of his teachings. Nisargadatta's philosophy is seen as a distilled form of Advaita or Nondualism. He presents this timeless knowledge in as pure form as possible and in a very direct way.
Is deep sleep my ultimate state, or my real nature? Is Nisargadatta a devotee or a gyani? What is suffering, who suffers? Why is it still there even after knowing what I essentially am?
There is no perceiver and no perceived, but only perceiving. This immediately leads us to unity, oneness. This destroys the doer. Intellect is an obstruction when used to find the absolute. There can be no re-birth. Nisargadatta discusses all these matters.
What is enlightenment? How to get it? Who gets enlightened? When does the seeking end? What are the implications of liberation? We know all these important answers as we proceed with the book.
This life is a practical joke happening in no space and no time. How did I get so involved in it? Was I born in some place at some time in the past? Or is it that a perception appeared in illusory space and time, which I mistook as myself?
Nisargadatta answers many interesting questions here, such as, the utility of spiritual knowledge in worldly life, origin of duality and illusory world, the root of ignorance, the meaning of awakening and how to achieve liberation instantly.
What was I before I was born? Nisargadatta reached the absolute by enquiring about this seemingly strange question. Here we see his train of thoughts. Absolute is, and everything else is a concept. What meaning remains, then, of this life? What should an individual do, when he knows that there is no individual?
What is whole seeing? What happens when we adopt a lifestyle which involves whole seeing every moment? Why is there a manifestation? Balsekar conveys the views of Nisargadatta on such questions.
What is unmanifest and manifest? Where does the world come from? What is the difference between awareness and consciousness? How to be the awareness? Balsekar explains the answers to these questions as given by Nisargadatta.
Reading the book - "Pointers from Nisargadatta Maharaj", with commentary and discussion. The author, Ramesh Balsekar, narrates the story of how the writing happened. We are introduced to the Absolute Awareness, consciousness and the illusion of the individual or I.
What is the intent behind the creation? What is the act of willing? What are the implications of determinism for astrology? Is the mind trying to find its source? If this world is a play, is it possible to manipulate it, and how to do that? Let us explore these questions and more.
Is the existence infinite? Can such questions be answered? What happens when you try to answer such questions? Let us introspect and find out.
Logic is about true and false. A powerful and well developed ability of logic is a must for any truth seeker. A spiritual seeker is seeking the truth, and therefore, it is a logical necessity that he must sharpen this tool of the mind. How to do that? Is this only an intellectual exercise? What is the utility of logic?
In the final sermon, the Breakthrough sermon, Bodhidharma plainly states that the only way to gain enlightenment is to behold the mind. The true nature of all of us is awareness, and the only practice is to abide in awareness. The rituals etc. are metaphorical and are totally useless. Realization is here and now.
Why are there no individual minds? What are the, so called, demonic forces? How to protect ourselves from them? How to put spiritual knowledge into practice? What if I fail? Lets discuss these, and some more topics.
In the Wakeup Sermon, Bodhidharma points at the need to go beyond mind. The words engage the mind and delusion follows. Not using the mind to know that which cannot be known via mind is Zen. When this is known, everything we do and every state of the mind is Zen.
How to bring the mind to higher layers? Can one stop it completely? Is it required? Why is this ordinary moment most spiritual? Will I become spiritual in future? What if Advaita is wrong? What should I believe?
The doctrines are useless and so are hardships or devotion. Bodhidharma delivers only one message - that of instantaneous knowledge of one's true nature, nothing more. This mind is the Buddha mind. This mind is the movement. No motion, no mind, and since its essence is emptiness, it never really moves.
Is enlightenment instantaneous, or is it gradual? Which practice will lead to enlightenment? How to be the witness and remain as non-doer? Is there a supreme doer? What happens when I let go of doership and ownership? Lets discuss these questions.
We start with Bloodstream sermon. Bodhidharma explains the mind and the self-nature. He puts it clearly that the mind itself is the self-nature and trying to find the self-nature beyond this mind is impossible. This mind is the Buddha. To realize this is Zen.
There is often this question that, given our current existence as a human being with a body and a mind, what one should do? In other words how to live this human life? Most of us blindly follow what others are doing, or whatever we were told to do, resulting in a less than optimal experience. We will see that the goal has been already set for you, and it is - Happiness and Freedom. No matter what you do, you end up choosing an action that leads to happiness and freedom. We are incapable of choosing anything else. We will discuss about how to achieve this effortlessly and practically. (This is a remastered and edited version of an earlier podcast).
Reading the book - "The Zen teaching of Bodhidharma", with commentary and discussion. Bodhidharma is the father of Zen, which is based on the path of knowledge, as taught by Siddhartha Gautama Buddha himself. We explore its similarities with Advaita and other Nondual philosophies.
Mankind's greatest discovery is realization of their own essential nature. When we act in knowledge, we reach our goals of happiness and freedom. In ignorance we remain a slave of situations and obey the will of others, we remain in misery and bondage. Rising above the lower planes is possible via mental transmutation. Know the mind, and transmute the mind. This is real magic.
If the consciousness is only one, if it is universal, why is my experience limited to this mind and body? Why can't everything become an objective experience at once? Why the experience is necessarily limited, although the experiencer is not? Let's introspect and find out.
The Gender is the creative principle active in all the planes of existence. Without the opposites, there is no creation, no structures are formed. Creation is a dance of opposites. The I and Me are two aspects, masculine and feminine. The I is the Will, the Me is the creative energy. I influences the Me, and hence it becomes necessary to wake up to this truth, exercise the will of the I and shield Me from undesirable influences from other minds.
The individual mind, although it appears to be segregated, resides in a sea of minds, all present right here and right now. It is always influencing other minds and is being influenced by them. Supernatural influences are the ones, where the source is nonphysical. Its always our own tendencies that allow, other minds to influence us. Since a mind cannot remain unaffected by influences, it is useful to know which influences are beneficial for us, and which ones are not.
The polarity is not static, the poles are reversed sooner or later. Everything has highs and lows, a rhythm. A Master understands this law and neutralizes it by staying steady amidst the flow of polarities. Nothing is uncaused and everything has an effect. One can remain unaffected by consequences by acting with awareness, and thus can rise above the law of cause and effect.
Everything exists as vibrations. The mental phenomena are just higher vibrations compared to the material. Understanding of vibrations brings powers. Everything has opposites, and they are simply different degrees of the same thing, appearing as two poles of it. This understanding enables us, to transmute that thing, into something of a higher vibration. The most important application of which, is transmutation of our own mind.
The planes of existence are experiences of various vibratory states of the ALL. Entities find themselves in one or the other vibratory plane, depending on their level of evolution. Higher the rate of vibration, higher is the level of evolution. There is a huge continuous spectrum of vibrations, which can be divided into arbitrary planes or dimensions for the purpose of study.
Mentalism does not mean a denial of life, nor does it mean reigning over the world of illusions. A Master simply rises above the material world, fully respecting the laws of the matter. The ALL descends in vibration and creates mental forms, and then it ascends and dissolves everything back into itself. The creation and the creator are One. This play happens for no reason, it just is.
The universe is a dream in the mind of the ALL, its an illusion, imagination, unreal. This is established via observation and the principle of correspondence. Although its unreal, one should not make a mistake of treating it as such. From a relative point of view, it appears real and is rule bound. The way out of it is not by changing it, but by transcending it via self transmutation.
Beliefs are assumptions, ideas not founded on the evidence gained via direct experience or logic. Beliefs lead to suffering, for they are just ignorance. They can be difficult to get rid of, they are parasitic. A gyani must always keep his guard up against blind beliefs. Not knowing is of more value than knowing.
The essence of I cannot be seen as an object. This puts the mind in a difficult position, which can know only objects. We see limitations of the mind or intellect immediately. We take the next step, and see the experience and the experiencer as two sides of the same coin, inseparable and an appearance in that which is not-two.
The concepts of transmutation and the wholeness of the existence, the ALL, are described. Transmutation is always of the mind, because that is what there is. The ALL, which is exactly the same as the word Brahman, is the only reality, the only substance, infinite and unchanging.
Who am I or what is my essence is the most important question one can ask. This is the Self Enquiry. This talk is an introduction to the enquiry and is meant for beginners. We define the essence as that which remains unchanged, and progressively eliminate all that is non-essential, changing and unnecessary. In this way we arrive at the real I.
A brief description of the seven principles is given. We notice the similarities with eastern philosophies. The principles are undoubtedly universal and show a consistency and correlation among themselves.
The Kybalion is a short and accessible description of the Hermetic teachings from ancient Egypt, which is being presented here with some commentary and comparison with non dualistic Indian philosophies. We immediately see the emphasis on a teacher-student style of transmission of knowledge and the need to carefully evaluate the readiness of the students.
Shiva is a very popular concept among all kinds of spiritual practitioners. It is pure nothingness, the substratum from which everything arises and to which everything falls back. Why is a yogi trying to become like Shiva? What is the significance of such practices? Why so much mystery? We will informally explore this highly interesting landscape of nothingness, which is Shiva himself.
To be established as the Being-Knowledge-Bliss, the mind needs to be killed. The Master reveals that the mind is only an illusion, movements, thoughts. It is a concept that points to ceaseless activity. To kill the mind, one needs to completely forget it. This statement needs some careful interpretation.
The individual mind is merely a concept, an idea, an assumption. There is no individual, except in the form of a temporary ignorance of the whole. Any mind, is always a group mind. An interconnected whole of potentially many. This realization turns our view of individual minds or a person, upside down.
The knowledge of the unity resides in the mind. But its tendencies are still operative, it still sees itself as separate from the whole. I, the ego, cannot be the oneness. The oneness is the dissolution of the ego. An awakened mind is no mind, or a pure mind, a completely still mind. The Master now imparts the teachings about liberation and how a liberated person is, how he acts, and what is his state of mind, or of no mind.
The Self is seen as the empty, conscious, blissful background of all experience. This is a solid realization. All that is being experienced seems less real now. Thus begins a new and transformed life, which is in light not in the darkness. Now the student is encouraged to cultivate the mind and erase the remaining latent tendencies in it. The fruit of which is the oneness, union or liberation while being in the world.
Renunciation is not about forcing yourself to get rid of everything you own, it is simply a realization that I never owned anything, there is nothing to own, there is no me to possess anything. And the Self is not concerned with owning or disowning, it is forever free, the owner and the owned are illusory ephemeral expressions of the Self.
What are the applications of occult techniques? What can go wrong when they are indiscriminately practiced? Why were they suppressed? Will they remain hidden forever? In spite of their power and effectiveness, such practices remain a double edged sword. However, there are some milder versions, which a seeker can learn and benefit from.
The techniques for manipulating the mind and to empower it, enhance it with various abilities, have been clubbed under the occult, and are generally called the left hand paths. Although they are condemned by great masters or traditions around the world, and were largely suppressed, they still survive, albeit in a corrupted and ruined form. These can be effectively used to bring the mind to a detached and desireless state very quickly, accelerating its evolution, but are ridden with danger and pitfalls.
Listening to the teachings provides the theoretical or conceptual knowledge, or the indirect knowledge. It forms a basis for reflection. We now start reflecting on the teachings about the Self. When all that is insentient, impermanent and illusory is seen as non-Self, the Self is seen as unchanging background of Consciousness. It appears as nothingness, a void, a space in which all experiences are taking place.
The hearing session continues, and the master explains the unchanging and universal nature of the Self. Its nature as Being-Knowledge-Bliss is established. It is shown to be non-dual, the only One that exists as a conscious all pervading and perfect ground of everything. It remains unaffected and untainted by the illusory changes happening in it. It is bliss itself.
Stilling of the mind can be achieved via the path of yoga or via enquiry, the later being a more direct approach. Enquiry involves listening or reading, reflecting and directly experiencing, that which is being pointed out by the text, or the guru. The master now starts imparting the theoretical knowledge to the disciple. This is the listening phase.
The master emphasizes that only the mentioned four qualities are needed to start on the path of self enquiry, and no amount of bookish or theoretical knowledge can help, to gain a direct experience of the truth. The truth is within, its not in the books. Nothing else prevents a student from qualifying, including the age, caste, color, race, gender or education etc.
The Self is the essence of that which I am. But is it really there?
The trick is to see without the filters of concepts and ideas. It is seen as just another concept, just another division, a creation of the mind. Let's explore and destroy the Self.
The Master gives four essential requirements for Self Enquiry to be effective. These are - discrimination, dispassion, cessation of worldly activities and an intense desire for liberation. He explains what happens when some of them or any of them are lacking. He concludes that no matter what you think you have, these four are absolutely necessary for any seeker.
What are we seeking? What does a seeker want to achieve? Where will the spiritual path take you? Is there a destination? Is it an endless journey? What happens when you reach your destination?
Lets explore these questions and more.
Chapter three starts, which is about the means and ways to achieve liberation from the ignorance or Maya or the illusion, also known as the Samsara. The solution is stilling of mind. There is no other way. The master then goes into the details of how to do that and what kind of student is qualified to do that.
In this concluding part of the series on technology of the mind, the essential steps for entering in this field are discussed. Some examples of applications are mentioned, along with their negative counterparts. Just like any other technology, the technology of the mind can be misused, and can have major consequences. Hence, it is highly recommended to take precautions, to have a good control over the lower mental tendencies, and to practice under an experienced master. There is no limit to what these techniques can achieve.
Some more examples of the advanced ancient technology of the mind can be found, which amazes us. Initiation into this field is surprisingly easy, however its mastery is difficult, it involves effort and practice, just like any other art or technology. In the field of mind, the actions are also mental, the motive force behind the manipulation is intention, or an internal action. When done correctly, it produces the desired effect, else it is mostly ineffective, as is the experience of many, who practice this art without really understanding it.
If it is useful, it survives. The ruins of the technology of the mind can be seen in the rituals, ancient buildings like temples, mantras, deities and symbolism that still exists in a hollow or corrupted form. With enough knowledge, one can decipher the meaning from such practices, and can see that in ancient times, the technology of the mind was extremely evolved. There is a possibility to revive most of it, to reinvent it, or to invent new mental technologies.
The Maya is seen as not really there when the awakening dawns. Its play is seen as meaningless or purposeless. Since it is not there, the meaning and purpose is also not there. The ignorance is eternal, it just is. When the oneness is realized, the ignorance is also seen as illusory. The knowledge is a product of Maya, and hence it is illusory also. All knowledge is just refined ignorance. The One is beyond knowledge, beyond mind. Even though the knowledge arises out of Maya, it is effective in burning down the veil of Maya. In the end both Maya and knowledge disappear.
Technology is an art of manipulating our experience in order to achieve desired outcomes. Since all there is, is mind, all technology is simply a manipulation of the mind, or its nothing but technology of mind. The lowers layers of the mind are more accessible at this time and have been mastered to some degree, however the higher layers are generally unknown to most and remain under developed. Perhaps the technology of the mind was highly advanced in distant past, especially the higher layers, but was lost. Fortunately, it seems that we are on a rising curve once again.
Sharing of knowledge and information is a natural human tendency. Whatever knowledge we have is a gift from someone else, and so it feels the right thing to do, to give it away. However, it is not so easy, there are pitfalls and consequences. What happens when you try to share your knowledge, especially, spiritual knowledge, among people? Who is ready or worthy of receiving spiritual teachings? What are the do's and don'ts in this matter? How to effectively disseminate the knowledge for other's benefit, and your own pleasure?

In this part of the series, we read, about the collective illusion of the universal mind, the Ishvara. We learn that some teachings are sugar coated and diluted to suit the level of evolution of a student. The teachings of a creator and a creation are some among many such skillful means to purify a mind and bring it to nondual wisdom. Finally we see that there is only one ignorance of one Self, and liberation of one mind brings an end to all ignorance there is.

In this part on the topic of evaluation of minds, we discuss the higher layers of the mind - the intellect, spiritual and liberated layers. We see that not only they are very interesting, but are also very complex and very rare. In conclusion, some cautions are mentioned and further actions are recommended.

In the part 2, of the talk on judgement and evaluation of the mind, we study the 3rd and 4th layers of the mind, which are connected, respectively, with tribal and emotional behaviours, speech and thoughts. We can also see some major afflictions of these layers.

In this part of the series, we read about the mechanisms of Maya, the force, latent in the existence itself, which wakes up through minds and project an illusory experience. We also see how an illusion of ego arises, and how can one Self/existence appear as many egos. We explore the beginning and cause of the Maya.
Evaluation of one's current status of evolution, is essential for rapid progress. It is possible to do so, both for the self and for others. While judging others, it must be kept in the mind that, the resulting action must be such, that it corrects your own behaviour instead of correcting others. In this part we discuss the basics such as, what is judgment, how to evaluate a mind, what criteria to use, is it moral to do so, etc. We also study the animalistic and hedonistic minds in this part of the talk.

Causality is just an idea, a concept, a creation of the mind. Cause and effect apply in a tiny area of the Ego and are related to survival. Cause and effect do not provide a convincing explanation for the reality or for our own direct experiences. Why does it seem like there are causes for events and there are effects of them? How does the mind create causation? If not in terms of cause and effect, how else can we understand this continuous change we call the experience?
In this part of the series, we read about the true nature of the existence, and how it is being veiled by the ignorance or Maya and instead an illusory existence is being projected. A false self is placed in this illusion which assumes a perishable form, is seen as the doer and enjoyer, and this ignorance becomes the cause of misery.

Attention, Reflection and Intelligence are three essential abilities that a seeker on the path of knowledge must sharpen in order to progress rapidly. These abilities when operating optimally can result in enormous success in material life also. How to improve these abilities? What can be done, and what to avoid in order to maximize them? We will share some tips and experiences in this meeting. This is part 2 of 2.
Is the real nature of existence nothingness? Or is it eternally something? Why is there an experience of something instead of nothing? How is something being created out of nothing? If the experiencer and the experience are one, and if the experience is nothing but change, and if the experiencer is unchanging, how can it also be a change? These are very strange and puzzling questions. The answer is stranger and even more mysterious.

From a nondual point of view the mind is a multilayered object which is being experienced by the Self/consciousness. The layers range from inert matter to huge metaphysical structures. The mind is a complex thing, to say the least. In this meeting we will take a deeper look in the mind and get an overview of its detailed structure and dynamics.

Dynamics of Mind
Forgiving is an art which when practiced, helps to release a traumatized mind from the grip of suffering. Why do minds get hurt and how to fix a badly wounded mind through the technique of forgiving? We will explore this topic in this meeting from a perspective of automated mental processes as seen by a yogi or a gyani.
We find ourselves in a physical body and in the physical world and this situation corners us and forces us to act. The only way out is via learning how to act without acting. The recommended way is to serve by acting in as non violent way as possible and to donate by hoarding as less as possible. These actions cancel out the consequences, freeing the mind from the trap of a physical body and world.
An action, when performed via the agency of the mind, is always egocentric. Identification with the mind and its structures is the cause of ignorance that one action is good and other is bad, one is service and other is an selfish act. Anyhow, service is a practice that can free a mind trapped in such delusions. Via service, the ownership or identity shifts from an individual, to the whole. This is essentially the path of action. Other techniques are donation and forgiving. In this part, we will get an overview of actions and how they are seen from the point of view of the Self and the ego.
As the blind beliefs and ignorance starts to fall apart piece by piece, a seeker is left in bewilderment, the false ground of flimsy assumptions and conditioning starts cracking below their feet. The most common question in such a situation is what should I do now? The only answer is - surrender. That may look like a defeat but is actually a win-win situation. How? We will reveal that in this meeting.
There is no need to balance anything, because the so called material life does not exist. Until this is realized, one must struggle and make some efforts, by whatever means, and arrive at an effortless path - the direct path, or the nondual path.
In this meeting, the concept of Entropy and self organization in metaphysics will be introduced. Metaphysical structures self organize via various processes and form ordered evolving structures called minds and worlds.

Does the same person reappear repeatedly in each incarnation? What is the concept of liberation from the cycles of births, deaths and rebirths? What can be done to get a better birth next time? What are the reasons for me being born in present circumstances? What happens when the evolution is finished? If the purpose of an incarnation is to learn and grow, why are all memories lost after each incarnation? Isn't that pointless? In this final part on the topic of reincarnation, we will go into the depths of it and try to answer these questions.
Is reincarnation real or yet another illusion? Who is reincarnating? Why do I need to reincarnate? What happens in between two births? What are the chances of being born in a specific family or place? Is it possible to meet a dead person from another incarnation? Is it possible to recall my other incarnations? In the part three of four on the topic, these questions are answered.
In this part of the discussion on reincarnation we dive deeper into the mechanisms of it and learn that it is even more complicated than we assumed. How are preallocated memories formed? What is the causal body evolving into? This is the part two of four in this series.
The pictures shown in this meeting are here.
Seen from a mind only model of the existence, reincarnation is a possibility. We will try to evaluate some theories using our own direct experience, and clear some blind beliefs about this subject. It will be seen as yet another illusion, but a very complex and mysterious one. This is part one of four in this series.
The pictures shown in this meeting are here.
Continuing from the first part on the topic, we uncover more beliefs about science and technology, and about seekers and scientists. We see that the fields of science and spirituality are mostly similar and face similar issues. The problem is gross generalizations and blaming the whole field instead of seeing that it is human nature to either advance or corrupt a field. It is wise to ignore the superficiality and focus on the goal, which is, more knowledge.
Science is a sub set of the path of knowledge. It deals with empirical knowledge mostly. There are some blind beliefs regarding what it is, how it works etc, in the minds of spiritual aspirants and ordinary people. In this talk we will clear them up, we will see the science from a bigger perspective. We find that since it is also a pursuit of knowledge, its dynamics are exactly the same as those of spiritual paths.
Continuing from our previous meeting on the topic, we will explore some advanced techniques for exploring the universal mind. See their advantages or disadvantages, and their implications on the life of a practitioner of these techniques. We will see what pitfalls are there on this path of techniques, and what is the real purpose of taking them up.

Universal Mind is the manifested existence. Continuing from our previous meetings on the topic, we will take a baby step towards establishing the universal mind, via direct experiences. This will be more of an unlearning experience rather than a learning one. All one needs to do is thoroughly question one's everyday waking experience, and arrive at a place of not knowing. As soon as the dirt of beliefs is cleared, the knowledge then shines by itself.
In the second part on the topic of the universal mind, some ways and methods to explore the universal mind are discussed in brief. There are three broad ways to approach the Universal Mind:
1. Logic
2. Ordinary experiences
3. Extraordinary experiences
3.1 Everyday extraordinary experiences
3.2 Rare extraordinary experiences
3.3 Brute force methods
3.4 Elegant methods
3.5 Permanent experiences
In this meeting the concept of universal mind is presented in brief. Universal mind is all that which can be experienced, all that which is manifested. There are various theories and models of its structure and organization or ontology. Some of them are presented here. This is the part one of two on this topic.

Continuing the talk on Kundalini and the path of knowledge. In this part an easy way to evaluate your level of evolution is suggested and some solutions are offered in order to clear the blockages and speed up the evolution of the mind without actually getting involved in any energetic practices whatsoever.
Continuing the talk on Kundalini and the path of knowledge. In this part we see that the evolution of the mind is a necessity, it happens independently of the path one is on. Any spiritual path will result in acceleration of evolution. We see that we cannot simply avoid it, and we cannot remain inactive. Evolution is speeded up on the path of knowledge too and we can assist in a few ways as going backwards is not desirable, we can consciously prevent going backwords. Moreover we can adopt a simple lifestyle where we favour an evolved behaviour over habitual behaviour. Some more aspects of this topic are also discussed.
In this meeting some of the key teachings of the great philosopher Gurdjieff were discussed, like, the psychology of Man's possible evolution. Is a Man conscious? Can a Man achieve consciousness? And, what are the hallmarks of a Man who is conscious.
Kundalini is mostly mysterious and magical, and therefore, the logical and rational mind of a seeker on the path of knowledge does not find this concept very useful. We tend to discard it, but it is possible to understand Kundalini as a model of the evolutionary processes of the mind and benefit from it. In this meeting we will speculate on such possibility.
Although the Self has no qualities, good or bad, it is pure emptiness, we can still assign or project some qualities on it, just to communicate about it. A human mind cannot conceive of anything without assigning a quality to it. It is also a limitation of the language, we need some description to talk about it, even if it cannot be described.
In this meeting we will discuss some of those so called qualities and their meaning.
The world is names and forms. This is the famous teaching. Hows that even possible? How to gain a direct experience of it? How to verify it and get solid evidence for it? We will dig into this teaching in this discussion and try to get a direct experience of the essential nature of the world. This is also a demonstration of gaining knowledge via enquiry, as is customary in the path of knowledge.
Fear of death is a universal fear. Almost everyone is afflicted with it, including many seekers. In this talk, we analyze it. We find that this fear has more complicated reasons other than simply a fear of disappearance of the body. We can classify them as pre-death and post-death fears. Once we know what they are, we can try out some solutions for them. We do not want to get rid of the fear of death completely, we only ensure that it is seen for what it is, as an illusion, and ensure that it does not become a cause of suffering. Death is a necessity, but excessive fear of it is optional.
There are interesting effects of interconnectedness, such as unexplainable phenomena or so called extraordinary abilities of the mind. When seen from the point of view of the law of interconnectedness, these events appear normal and most natural. When this knowledge is crystallized in a mind, the mind drops its illusory boundaries and experience of oneness is gained in various forms. An evolved mind is the one where no separation is perceived. That mind sees itself as one with everything. This is the part two of two of the talk on the law of interconnectedness.
Law of interconnectedness arises out of the oneness of all that is. The unity of all is seen as a connection, among everything and everyone. The mind divides the oneness into many, and also creates an illusion of separation between itself and everything else. When we take a closer look, these illusions are destroyed. Oneness is beyond mind, therefore the mind can only find a hint of it in unexplainable interconnectedness among the illusory parts. This is the part one of two of the talk on the law of interconnectedness.
The law of perfection points to the necessity that everything is perfect as it is. In other words, nothing can be added or taken away from the way things are. That may sound counter to our own experience, but that is because we have biases and preferences. In itself the universe is pure perfection, including our ignorance and biases, they are the way they must be. This law is very powerful, it has the potential to liberate a mind from Samsaric wheel in a few minutes.
The law of self similarity derives from the fractal nature of the reality.
Everything is arranged in layers and each one is a low resolution copy of the one above it. When we study this law and experience it directly, we open up to the possibility of there being more layers on top of that which we think is "me".
The law makes us tiny and humble. This law shows that there is no end to seeking, when you explore all that which can be experienced. Your search must take you inwards not outwards, and then you will see that you are one all encompassing unity, having no structure and no layers of any kind.
Law of relativity overrides our subjective and biased notions of absolute. It arises out of necessity, as there are no absolutes in this existence, everything stands in relation and comparison to something. This law also renders our ideas of getting, being or achieving something, meaningless. This law is the key to understanding of the true meaning of the word liberation. Knowledge of the law of relativity shows us that which is absolute. Although it appears simple and obvious, it is very profound and one can leverage this law to reach absolute freedom.
The multi-layered structure of the mind is ever changing. The change is in the direction of more adaptation, more harmony with its surroundings. The mind changes as per the constrains on it, and as per the necessity. This is the law of evolution of the mind. Evolution is an exploration of variety. When seen from a human perspective, we find that it is both constructive and destructive. Naturally, we would like to bias it in our favour, and fortunately, we can leverage the law of evolution to quickly reach better minds, and to free us from a matter dependent existence faster.
States of the mind are numerous, they are fascinating, but are all illusory. However, this knowledge prevents the mind from identifying with a particular state, or from confusing a state with one's true nature. Knowledge of the states of the mind leads to detachment, and preferences for one state or the other are dropped. This frees the mind from the ever changing states. All states happen on the background of peace and awareness.
Some of the states of the mind are ordinary day to day experiences, while some other are extraordinary and exotic. Some are afflicted, distorted and unhealthy, some are clear, enlightening and healthy. Some are only available to evolved minds, while some are necessary part of everyone's life. Some are natural and some are forced. Anyhow, the states of the mind show the enormity of the mind, it is awesome, mysterious and versatile. This is the part 2 of 3, of introductory talk on the states of the mind.
Mind is a multi-layered structure. It is continuously flowing and changing, at every layer. It goes through various states as it changes. These states are numerous. In this meeting, some of the major states of the mind are revealed in short. Knowledge of these states, helps us to identify them and to detach from them. It also helps to know other minds and their behaviour. This is part 1 of 3, of this introductory talk.
As the mind evolves, it accumulates. Layers upon layers of structures form on top of each other. They get refined and appear as very refined and sophisticated structures. There appears knowledge, understanding and awareness. But all these layers do is, mask that which is. The reality is distorted and filtered through these evolutionary layers of the mind. Hence they are actually layers of ignorance. We will discuss nine such essential layers with some sub layers. When we know our place in the grand scheme, we can focus our efforts effectively, and therefore can easily transcend these layers, to arrive at that which has no layers, no knowledge and no ignorance.
Law of identity of perception and manifestation, states that whatever is being perceived, is being manifested simultaneously. It is the very nature of the mind, it is happening autonomously and transparently. We can manifest only that which senses can offer, and hence our abilities and experiences are very limited. There is a possibility for the mind to change and evolve, which shifts it into a new reality where new senses and new abilities appear, where it can leverage this law to fulfil its desires instantly. By doing so a human can evolve into a superhuman.
Once the unity of the experience and the experiencer is recognized, a question arises - why is the experience so varied, why are there so many forms instead of a simple plain experience of being. How does this colourful drama of experience come into being. We will attempt to explain that via direct observation and form a theory about the arising of a diversified experience out of simple change and necessity.
What exists? What is existence? Why does it appear in so many forms? What is that which experiences it all? Why is our experience so limited? Where, when and how does it all happen. We will try to answer all these questions, via introspection, direct observation, and logical deductions.
Introspection is seeing within. It is an encounter with direct experience while the mind acts as a bystander. It starts with cleaning up of the slate of conditioning by simply ignoring that which the mind throws at us. When we ask a question and demand an answer in the form of a direct experience, we get the pure and unadulterated truth. In this meeting we will try to see our own essence via introspection.
Law of balance ensures that positivity is balanced by negativity. Whenever there is an excess of one polarity, it reverses and goes to the other extreme. This oscillation continues, till everything is well balanced. Our lives are a series of swings from too positive to too negative. This is because our actions and thoughts are imbalanced. Knowledge of this law helps to bring back the balance and harmony in our daily lives. It becomes smooth and peaceful instead of violent swings of polarities.
Law of attraction, or mental attractors, has a firm grip on the minds, especially human minds. If we are unaware of it, we are bound to remain in a deep pit, of an attractor, which the mind digs for itself. If we know this law well, we can leverage it to come out of any situation, and become anything we please. A mind is fully capable of attracting anything, and as soon as it does so, the reality around it changes itself.
The mind distorts all neutral experiences into either positive or negative. This is the nature of the mind. This is the law of polarities. The reality is seen as either positive or negative because of the conditioning or preferences of the mind. An understanding of this law frees us from it, and one can even leverage it to get what one wants easily.
Our past conditioning determines our actions, and the consequences result in learning. Life is a means to learn our lessons which these actions and consequences produce. Learning helps to evolve, to progress and to become better. Minds are governed by the law of action, and this law completely determines how the minds evolve. Doing an action may not bring about the desirable consequences, but it always brings a lesson. So the right action is that which brings the right lessons that can help us grow and evolve. The more we evolve, more free we become. More freedom brings more happiness and peace. Happiness and freedom are thus, our goals.
The questions discussed in this meeting are - Is the experience of death closest to the real experience of me? Where to go to find the experiencer? Why the mind is never satisfied with answers, why does it keep coming up with more new questions for every answer?
Law of action or Karma is perhaps the most important law of the mind. Although it looks plain, simple and obvious, it has roots that go very deep. This law determines how a mind works and how it acts. It is also the backbone of the reality. Study of this law answers many fundamental questions related to human existence, such as - why am I the way I am? What am I doing here in this world, what is the purpose or point of it? Why should I act and how should I act? What are the consequences of my actions and how to act so that I get desired consequences?
Law of impermanence is a direct result of the flowing nature of the reality. Nothing here stays, everything comes and goes. Clinging to all that which is not going to stay is a cause of suffering. Knowing that the life is not about accumulating, getting, bonding or doing, it is only a continuous flow of experiences, frees us from the suffering. Reality is all that can be experienced, and by its very nature, it is momentary, ephemeral and ever changing. In contrast, the Self is changeless, eternal and the only thing that lasts, it is what I am. So detaching with what comes and goes and identifying with what remains is the key that frees us from suffering.
Study of the nature of reality gives us some clues about the ways in which it operates. These regular and consistent ways become the laws of the mind. These laws are unbreakable, eternal and truly universal. Knowledge of these laws can help to bring the mind out of its misery and although the mind cannot escape these laws, they can be leveraged to make one's daily life as a mind and a body, easier and smoother.
The questions discussed in this meeting are - Why do I lose my state of bliss and consciousness when I am involved in day to day worldly activities? How to handle the mind when it is resisting? How does one's age affect the practices and ability to remain aware?
Since all experiences are mediated via the mind, which distorts what is into a subjective impression of it, all we can experience is necessarily a distortion. That means, we cannot know what is, we only know that which is not. It also means, all we can have is ignorance, not knowledge. Any knowledge is refined ignorance, nothing more. Reality stands on the foundation of ignorance and is unknowable.
Reality is experience, and there is a conscious background of it - the Self, the experiencer, or the consciousness. There is no separation between the experience and the experiencer. Although, there is an illusion of separation created by the mind, which divides the wholeness of the reality into multiple kinds of experiences. It also creates the division of the experience and the experiencer. When we see through this illusion, we find that the Self, and the reality are one, and identical. This is the greatest realization a human can have.
Reality is infinitely potent. All possibilities exists, and they exists at the same time, timelessly. All that can be imagined and all that cannot be imagined already exists. There is no use of it, there is no purpose or meaning behind it and there is no cause of it. There is immense freedom in knowing this. We are all expressions of infinite potency of reality and our own nature is the same. We prefer infinite freedom, we are evolving towards that goal where there is infinite potency, infinite freedom. We are becoming one with existence.
The questions discussed in today's meeting are. What is the difference between benevolent indifference and unconditional love? How does an enlightened person behave? Why do excessive conditioning, beliefs and expectations become an obstacle?
Reality is impermanence, everything is changing. Astonishing observation is that all of the change is circular. It repeats itself eventually. It means that nothing new will happen, all that is happening has already happened, not once or twice, but almost infinite times. There are cycles of change, and there are cycles within cycle. Everything repeats, everything has happened countless number of times. What are the implications of this?
We continue our discussion on the multidimensionality. The mind is a multidimensional thing, and since it is the creator of reality, the reality also appears in multidimensional ways. In simple words, for every dimension of the mind, there is a corresponding reality, a different world for each of the different states of the mind. These worlds are enchanting and endless. Study of this world and other worlds is an interesting and never-ending adventure.
A dimension is a way to describe something. It can be seen as a conceptual quality or a group of qualities. When we say, something has more than one dimension, we mean that there are more than one ways to describe it. Reality is one such thing, it has multiple dimensions. In this talk, we will see what they are and why most of them remain hidden from the view of ordinary people. Multidimensional facet of reality is the most interesting facet of all.
The questions that were discussed in this meeting are- How can a person who is terminally ill rise above the suffering? What can we do to help such a person? What can be done to get rid of the attachment to a decaying body? And finally some pithy advice for hardcore seekers.
Reality is not merely a plain and simple illusion, it comes with built in hierarchies. The metaphysical structures are arranged in self-similar hierarchies, where the lower structures resemble the higher ones but are simpler and lower resolution copies of them. This is a fractal reality. Minds, themselves are such structures. It is stranger than we think, because our own minds are a part of a grand hierarchy of minds.
While encountering various experiences, the mind assigns different amounts of reality to them. The mind calls, some experiences as more real and some as less real. It has no way of telling if something is less real, unless it encounters an experience, which it thinks is more real than the current one. Reality is relative to where we stand, depending on our ignorance or knowledge. We keep arranging experiences on a scale of varying reality, till finally, we find that all of it is relative. There is no absolute place to stand. There is no absolute reality.
The question today is, what are the seen and unseen effects of actions on the causal body. What is an action? What are consequences? How to act when there is no actor, when no one owns the actions, and when the consequences are not in our control?
The entropy reduction metaphysical processes drive the patterns into more structure, more organization, more complexity. This is what is seen as evolution. Evolution is a fundamental process. It applies to everything, and is the process that drives minds to become better, complex and more intelligent. Gives them innumerable abilities. With evolved minds, comes evolved perception, and evolved iconization of patterns. This means an evolved mind experiences a bigger reality. It is possible to speed up the evolution of our own mind. That is the ultimate goal for any human.
At the base of the diamond of reality, is the facet of entropy reduction, an inherent tendency of metaphysical patterns to transform themselves into meaningful structures. The structures are made up of pure change, or information, and do not last. They are a flow that sustains itself, via a variety of processes, as a dynamic equilibrium, which we perceive, as reality. The dance of creation is eternal and virtual, it is only apparantly there, it arises out of nothingness, and its nature is emptiness.
Since all that can be experienced is defined as reality, and all experience is nothing but a change, the reality is ever changing, by necessity, it cannot be anything else but a continous flow. In other words, reality is impermanance. How does a mind manage to make any sense of it? How does it create an illusion of permanency? If everything is ever changing, where should we stand? What can we hold on to, which is changeless and permanent?
What does the life teach a handicapped person? Why do such situations arise?
What does it mean when we say there is no doer? How to act or do anything when there is no doer?
This is a recording of a discussion on these questions, and related topics.
All that is real, are the illusions, organized into symbols or icons in the mind. This necessarily means that, all of the reality is subjective or mental. In this episode, we will see the third facet of the reality which is that, it is all mind. We will see how the illusion of an objective reality is created and how an apparant separation, with what the mind cannot control, gives rise to an illusion of a separate self or an individual.
Mind produces an illusory reality, but it is not totally useless. The mind arranges it as symbols or icons. It assigns them a meaning and a purpose. The only reason for that is, survival. It ensures persistence of the structures of the mind. Icons are made up of fundamental experiences of Tanmatras. It is possible to manipulate the reality if we study its iconic nature.
We are going to continue the discussion on the first facet of reality, which is, illusion. We see the mechanics of perception, and we see that all experience is derived out of change. Change is nothing, but energy and information. We see that all experience must be necessarily a distortion of, what exists.
We are going to see the first facet of the diamond, reality is illusory, or it is dream like. The key here is the meaning of the word , illusion. It seems that this word is a cause of a lot of confusion. What is an illusion?
A brief introduction to the series of talks on the nature of reality. Even though it is highly nebulous and subjective concept, we can extract some essential characteristics of what exists. We find that existence has many facets. It is complex, but has simplicity at its core, it is chaotic, but in an orderly way.
For the purpose of this discussion, I will use the following model/metaphor of a diamond with many facets. The facets or characteristics of reality are - 1. Illusory 2.Iconic 3. Mental 4. Impermanence 5. Entropy reduction 6. Relative 7. Multilevel 8. Multidimensional 9. Cyclic 10. Infinitely potent 11. Based on ignorance 12. Identical to the Self 13. Unknowable.
The way to happiness and freedom is doing that which you absolutely love to do. This is the path of the heart, which apparantly takes us there. We find that we do not really achieve anything in the end, what we get are lessons.
When seen from a higher perspective, food is that which is keeping us chained to an earthly existence. Many spiritual practices result in a detachment from food, naturally. Practices result in many side effects such as changes in diatary preferences, food sensitivities, aversion to certain foods, intolerance, suffering due to attachment to food etc. What is the correct food? What effects should a practice cause? What changes are needed regarding food and eating habits? Why this seemingly worldly matter is so important? All these questions are answered here.
A slightly unconventional and introductory view on what death is and what it is not. It seems that the death is largely misunderstood as an event of decay and destruction. Here we find that death is a tiny but important part of the continuous flow of experiences we call life. The opposite of death is birth, life has no opposites.
We define liberation as a condition of the mind where it has unlimited choices. Then we explore how that can be achieved. We quickly find that it means a choice to not act, and the only thing to do is non-action. The path to non-action is through action. That may sound puzzling but this is the essence of the path of action. Finally, some practices are discussed.
Discussion on the goals of a spiritual path. What do we get when we follow a path? Where does it lead us? What happens in the end?
In this concluding part of the series, we summarize what we learnt in the last 9 parts. We discuss the matter of a path, why is it needed, how to choose it, the risks of extreme practices, evaluation criteria of progress, and how much assistance one would need for a specific path. Spirituality is a huge field, but one thing is certain - once you have choosen this lifestyle, you will never want to go back to the old ways.
After analyzing the four kinds, we merge the experiences of the world, body and the mind. We see that there is only one kind of experience - the non-physical kind. The physical kind are a subset of the non-physical and both of them are subsets of metaphysical kind, which is unknowable in essence.
We discuss some basic things like what is there to know, who is ready to know or what are the prerequisites. Then a new but old way of knowing is introduced. Finally we destroy the world by simple direct observation.
Its a very frequently asked question that what one should do in life, how to best conduct it, what should one aim for and why. In other words people are looking for a purpose or meaning, an end goal of their lives. In this meeting we will try to find all these answers.
Depending on the kinds of experiences we can classify the knowledge. This makes understanding of these billions of experiences easy. What kind of knowledge is most important? What should I know? What is its use? What is it, knowing which, everthing is known? Such questions are answered in this episode, however we do not go in details, just hints, to keep it light.
Knowledge is a structure in the memory. It resides in the mind, which is the collector of knowledge. We see how the structure is formed and the role of experience in it. We also see the major affliction of this process, which are beliefs - structures that form without the foundation of any experience. Some sources of knowledge are also discussed.
We add a bit more to the topic of Truth and see how reliable or meaningful that concept is. We find that there are some pitfalls a beginner needs to be aware of. A better option is to simply know and use your experience without worrying too much about what constitutes absolute truth, as there is no such thing.
Often we hear this phrase - go with the flow, live in the flow etc. In this meeting we will discuss the meaning of "The Flow". What is it? What is flowing? How to be in it? What happens when you are in it? And what happens when you go against it?
Once you are aware and awakon, there will be questions naturally, and you may want to find out the truth. Here I am going to pull out the ground below your feet by claiming that there is no such thing as absolute truth.
Spiritual lifestyle begins with a rise of awareness, which is the knowledge that I am conscious, and even that I am consciousness, not the names, memories, a body or tags. As soon as there is an awareness, we begin to question. This is the beginning of awakening. In this episode we also discuss the issues related to meaning of these big words. They don't usually mean what you think they mean.
Sleep is an interesting state of the mind. In this meeting, this state is explored in brief. We find that sleep is a treasure box of knowledge and insights, when we study it properly. Later we find that it seems to be the closest state to pure happiness, peace, bliss, samadhi, consciousness without contents, and death itself. Some ways to gain direct knowledge of sleep, especially deep sleep, are also discussed.
In this meeting we continue on with the Abilities and Afflictions of the mind, we focus on Ethics and Aesthetics and their illusory nature. We also discuss guidelines for the seekers in order to free ourselves from their afflictions.
Pleasure, pain and emotions are processes in the mind that are founded on a mechanism of reward and punishment and are geared towards survival of the mind and the body. We study them in this talk and reflect on the related afflictions.
In this session on the abilities of the mind we will discuss Planning, Decision making and Problem Solving. These are higher level abilities of the mind that utilize basic abilities. We see how a seeker uses them with full knowledge of what they are, avoiding the pitfalls of suffering and frustration that incomplete understanding and overuse of them cause.
We add a bit more to the definition of spirituality, now we see it as a study of our own essence. We see that it was ever present, we do not become spiritual overnight. Only that now there is a recognition, an awareness of it. We also discuss some more implications of a spiritual lifestyle.
This is a new series of podcasts aimed at total beginners in the field of Spirituality. In this episode the meaning of the word Spirituality is revealed in a concrete and unorthodox manner. We also explore the reasons someone may want to adopt a spiritual lifestyle and the implications of doing so.
In this part we see that curiosity is an essential and necessary ability for a seeker. It is something much deeper and meaningful than merely questioning. Curiosity is identified as the main reason that puts anyone on a path. We see thinking as a complex of mental activities that are almost impossible to stop, and we discover that thinking is not a problem for a seeker, overthinking and unconscious thinking is. Afflicted thinking is nothing but suffering, an uncomfortable and negative state of the mind.
In this part Intuition, Imagination and Creativity are discussed from both the spiritual and practical points of view. We arrive at some deep and mind blowing conclusions when we study these seemingly ordinary abilities of the mind.
In this part the abilities of learning, logic, reasoning and critical thinking and their corresponding afflictions are discussed. We see that for a seeker, these abilities need to take up an entirely new dimension.
In this meeting on the topic of abilities of the mind we discuss the attention and intelligence. Attention turns out to be the most important ability that a seeker must master. Intelligence is a collective term for abilities when they are functioning at their best. We see a few tricks to augment the intelligence and discuss the importance of it for a seeker.
In part 5 of the series on abilities and afflictions of the mind, intentions and actions are discussed. We see that liberation is nothing but detachment from the self feeding circle of intention and action.
We continue our series of meetings on the abilities and afflictions of mind, and in this episode discuss Programs and Choice in depth and, what it means to be free.
Relations are the glue that holds us and everything together. They are memories and bonds that form in our minds as we progress through experiences. We tend to forget that there is a greater and invisible relation among everything that makes any other kind of relation unneccessary, that is a connection. When we realize this, it frees us from the web of relations.
This is the concluding part on the topic of suffering where the spiritual kind of suffering is discussed. It is a state of unhappiness, dissatisfaction, aimlessness, meaninglessness and sense of bondage in spite of the absence of the rest of the four kinds of suffering. The cure is very natural, there are no tricks, and this suffering is actually a blessing in disguise.
In this part of the series on layers of suffering the forth kind of suffering, namely the intellectual suffering is discussed. It is a negative state of the mind caused by non-optimal functioning of the higher mind or intelligence.
Continuing on the topic of suffering, egoic and emotional suffering is discussed in detail in this part of the talk.
Egoic suffering arises in the form of dysfunctional ego. Emotional suffering is the major cause of suffering in general, which is the presence of negative emotions. This part presents a detailed knowledge and suggests some ways to cure it quickly.
Suffering is an unnatural and unpleasant state of the mind. It has many causes and has many kinds, and hence needs different strategies in order to cure it. In this podcast the nature of suffering is discussed. It is classified into five kinds or layers and the first kind, namely - the physical suffering is discussed in detail.
This part in the series of talks on the abilities and afflictions of mind is about understanding and identity. Process of disidentification, its implications and some tricks to achieve it quickly are also discussed.
Observation is an act of gaining knowledge using our own minds as a tool. It is much more than just looking, it is looking without the fog of conditioning and beliefs, and consciously and carefully arriving at an answer to a question. It is a skill every seeker must have, it is an art that can be learnt via practice and proper guidance. A sharp observation will end the need for books or teachers, you will never need to memorize a single thing, and you will be always 100% sure of what you know. Most importantly, you will be able to destroy your ignorance at a blinding speed.
Our thoughts and actions direct our lives. They are a function of our mind. When we understand our minds, we gain power over our lives. When we know our mind, we know all minds, that gives us power over other people. Knowledge of the mind is the first step towards purifying it of all the impurities, ignorance and afflictions.
Knowing your mind is the most important thing that you will do in this life.
In this part, we discuss the perception in more detail, and memory and knowledge.

In this part, the points that are discussed are - the basics of what is a mind, what are abilities, what does an affliction mean and how to study the mind. Then we discuss the ability of perception and its afflictions.
Question and answer session discussing various topics like, gurus, conscious death, detachment, liberation etc.
Yet another taboo topic. Lets add more fuel to the fire. I will present my own perspective on the so called paranormal experiences. From the point of view of someone on the path of knowledge, everything is normal. Its nothing special at all.
However, we can turn the exciting and adventurous investigations into occult and paranormal into great learning opportunities. How to do that? Lets explore together.
The topic of death is a taboo as far as ordinary people are concerned, but for a seeker, death is the most interesting and most important experience. In this meeting we will go into the areas of knowledge no one dares to go.
Continuing in the direction of the previous topic, we will explore the nature of a death experience and I will provide a rough guide for dealing with it effectively, so that instead of being a total loss, it can become an enlightening experience for a seeker.
What is this (often controversial) phenomenon of rebirth or reincarnation? How does a seeker on the path of knowledge approach the teachings regarding rebirths? How do we even know such a process exists? What can a seeker do to gain knowledge about it or to refute it? What are the ways to start our investigation into this matter?
These and more questions will be answered in this meeting. As we know the rebirth is closely related to the concept of liberation and hence a seeker must dig out the truth behind this even before he considers liberation as his goal.

Questions and Answers Part 1/2. Conducted online via Pure Experiences Online Satsang at meetup.com.
This is the second part of previous topic on the path of knowledge. We will explore the ways to evaluate knowledge in terms of truth and certainty. We will see how to utilize a trick called "living faith" in order to get knowledge faster.
What is knowledge? What is truth? How to gain knowledge and how to know if something is true?
We will explore these questions in this meeting. For anyone on the path of knowledge it is immensely important to know this.
All experiences are made up of patterns and processes. They are ever changing and infinite. Mind is just one of these. How does it originate and what does it do? Understanding our own mind is a must for every seeker. We will take a closer look at this interesting object.
You must have encountered those teaching which say one thing and then say exactly the opposite. And both statements are true. Most of the spiritual knowledge is paradoxical. Hence a mystic is always right, even though he says nothing of substance. We will see some examples and find a way to deal with paradoxes.
The other part of the Presence, although illusory and transient is also important. It is all that we can experience. It is the manifested existence. We will check what it is and establish some basic facts via direct observations.
We will take a look at the modus operandi of Maya - the force that keeps us in ignorance. Maya tricks us into believing things that are found baseless when investigated deeply. We will hack into the workings of Maya and learn a few tricks to come out of its grip.
We will try to get a glimpse of this mysterious thing called the Experiencer. Through direct observation and logical deductions we will try to gain some knowledge of it. You will find that the Experiencer is all one needs to know, the rest of the knowledge, all of it, is merely details.
What/who is a Guru and some practical ways to find one. Some do's and don'ts and some deep truths about Gurus.
Discussion on the desirable qualities that a seeker or student needs to cultivate in order to progress fast on their path.
What does it mean to surrender? How to surrender in order to allow more knowledge? And many such questions are answered in this talk.
Experience, Experiencing and the Experiencer. We will go to the most fundamental experience possible. It is Presence, beingness. And we will catch a glimpse of the experiencer and simply witness "what-is".
We take a look at what exists, we see it as it is. We find that its a mystery. A direct experience of Existence or Presence forms the foundation of all knowledge.
