Text of the Day: When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified—one on his right and one on his left. (Luke 23:33) Reflection Questions: 1 — Have you suffered physically for someone? (Moms, this is obvious for you! And thank you!) What was that like? Would you do it again? What made it worth it? 2 —How do you feel when someone gives up their seat for you on public transportation? Hardly the same thing as “suffering,” but there is a small sacrifice. How does it make you feel when this happens? 3 —Does thinking about the physical suffering that Jesus went through give you a more urgent perspective on the sacrifice Jesus made for you? 4 —What is also important when thinking about not just the physical sacrifice that Jesus made, but also the spiritual sacrifice?
